중년의 노후 생활준비도 및 요양시설 인식에 대한 조사연구 = (A) study on the preparation for old age life and the recognition of long-term care facility for the middle-aged

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this study is to get the basic data for the well-being of people of middle aged for their upcoming old age preparations along with their quality of life. The subjects of this study are 440 people of the age between 40 to 59 living in the Seoul and kyunggi province and data were collected between Feb.5 through March 27 in 2007. The data are analyzed by SPSS-WIN12.0 program and frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, x2-test and Duncan analysis.
The results are as following.
1) The preparation for the aged is looking good but the emotional preparation is better than economical preparation for the aged.
2) Factors which affects the preparation for the aged are education, marriage, health, monthly income, total asset and these factors are shown statistically effective.
3) Physical preparation for the aged is affected by religion, children, health, monthly income, economical status and these factors are shown statistically effective. Emotional preparation is also related to the above mentioned factors along with spiritual preparation.
4) The mental picture on a nursing home is a place where one has to go if no one is going to take care of the aged and the one who has no ability to care of himself or herself is the one who uses a nursing home. The reason to go to the nursing home is that one does not to give a hard time toward one's family members. The reason to stay home rather than to go to the nursing home is only the economical reason. The preference on the nursing home is based on two factors, i.e., nursing and treatment cares and the cost is about one million won per month. Also they want government should pay certain amount along with private users.
They are willing to pay for the long term insurance for the aged and they also want the nursing home should be built by government and operated by the government.
The specialists on nursing for the aged should be employed and do the job for the aged. They also want country or leisure spot or vacation place.
5) The frame of mind on the nursing home for the aged is similar along all groups,1.2.3.4 groups. They are willing to be independent from their children but they also want the nursing home is located near their children's home. The main reason that they do not reside in the nursing home is the expense. The wishful hope is having a nursing home run by government with expense paid and nurse specialists for the aged do the caring job. The nursing home is located at vacation place. The most significant factors are status of heath and economical preparation.
Thus one has to lead a life of good health related habits along with economical preparation for the aged. They also want to have a nursing home for the aged run by government with expense paid. They also want nurse specialist do the caring job for the aged. One has to educate nurse for the aged.
