The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the self-efficacy, the career locus of control, the trait anxiety and the maturity of career attitude in middle school students.
For this purpose, 239 boys middle students and 236 girls middle students were sampled in Jochiwon areas participated in the study.
The measurements used were self-efficacy, the career locus of control and the trait anxiety to measure psychological features and the maturity of career attitudes.
The results of the study were as follows:
First, the self efficacy and trait anxiety showed a significant positive correlations. And trait anxiety and career attitude maturity aiso showed a significant and positive correlation.
Second, sex and self-efficacy were significantly explained difference of career attitude maturity among middle school students.
Third, career locus of control and trait anxiety also found to be significant predictors career attitude maturity.
Implications of the study in terms of career counseling were discussed.
