국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문의 연구에서는 미용실을 이용하고 있거나 이용경험이 있는 사람들을 대상으로 모발의 관리와 손상에 대한 실태를 파악하고 영향을 미치는지를 설문지를 통해 조사, 분석하여 올바른 모발관리와 모발건강에 도움을 줄 수 있도록 하기 위한 자료제공에 목적을 두고 연구를 진행하였다.
연구의 대상자는 안양, 평촌, 군포, 지역 미용실 이용자 및 미용실 이용경험이 있는자 187명을 대상으로 하였으며, 설문조사기간은 2007년 1월 28일부터 2월 10일까지 14일간이었다. 조사도구는 설문지를 사용하여 조사하였으며, 설문지 내용은 일반적인 특성 7문항, 모발의 특성에 관련 6문항, 모발의 손상과 관리에 대한 실태와 인식에 관련 17문항 등 총 30문항이었다. 자료의 처리 및 분석방법은 응답자의 일반적인 특성을 파악하기 위해 빈도분석을 사용하였다.
응답자들의 일반적인 특성과 모발의 특성, 모발의 관리에 대한 실태와 인식에 대한 차이를 알아보기 위해 교차분석을 활용하여 분석하였다. 통계분석은 SPSS(ver12.0) 프로그램을 이용하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다.
1) 모발의 특성에 대한 분석결과, 모발의 층정도는 78%가 층이 거의 없었으며, 모발형태는 직모(48.1%)와 반곱슬(42.8%)이 유사하였다. 모발의 길이는 짧은 머리가 43.3%으로 가장 많았고, 모발의 성질은 정상모발(44.9%) 혹은 건성모발(38.0%)이 대다수였다. 모발의 손상정도는 보통이 54%가량으로서 보통수준이라고 응답하였다. 월 미용실 이용횟수는 85% 이상이 월 1-2회 이용하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 두피상태는 54%가 보통수준이라고 응답하였다.
2) 모발의 관리와 인식에 대한 분석결과, 로드직경과 손상도는 86%가량이 로드의 크기가 손상과 관련이 있다고 하였다. 샴푸 이용시간은 61%가 아침이라고 응답 였으며, 샴푸 사용시 물의 온도는 미지근한 물(50.3%)이거나 따뜻한 물(47.1%)을 사용하고 있었다. 모발클리닉에 대한 견해는 시술받는 날만 좋다가(35.8%), 효과가 있다가(29.4%), 효과가 거의 없다(26.7%) 등 다양하였으며, 펌 시술시 약품의 향에 대해서는 84.5%가 약품에 대한 향에 참을만하고 별로 모르겠다고 하였다. 샴푸 후 헤어린스 사용여부에 대해서는 79.6%가 반드시 혹은 가끔 사용한다고 하여 정도의 차이는 있으나 샴푸 후 헤어린스를 사용하는 것으로 나타났다. 샴푸 후 모발 건조 방법으로서는 드라이기가 65.2%으로 대부분이었다. 염색시술시 주로하는 색상에 대해서는 블랙(39.4%)이나 브라운(27.3%)을 이용하였으며, 개인미용실과 브랜드미용실중 선호도에 대해서는 60%가량이 브랜드 미용실을 선호하고 있었다. 사용하는 스타일링 제품 종류로는 헤어로션(26.2%), 헤어젤(19.3%), 헤어왁스(18.2%), 헤어무스(10.7%) 등 다양하게 이용하고 있었으며, 드라이기 사용정도에서는 가끔(46.0%) 혹은 자주(36.4%) 사용하는 것으로 나타났다. 미용실시술 중 모발손상 주요 요인에 대해서는 40.1%가 셋팅펌이라고 보고 있었으며, 모발의 건강유지와 헤어스타일 연출 중 모발의 건강유지가 더 중요하다는 응답이 60%로 나타났다. 화학적시술시 카운셀링 정도에 대해서는 10분이하가 66.8%, 10~20분이 28.0%차이를 보였다. 모발손상에 대한 진단 및 측정방법으로는 문진한다(24.1%), 모발을 당겨본다(20.9%), 약제를 발라본다(19.3%), 안한다(18.2%) 등 다양하게 나타났다.
본 연구 결과를 통해 모발의 관리와 손상에 대해 모발의 특성에서 머리길이가 길수록 변화를 추구하는 여성의 특성에서 기인하는 연구결과와 유사하며, 모발의 성질에서 건성보다 정상모가 많아 최근들어 화학적시술이 감소했음을 보여준다. 또한 펌시술시 열처리에 대해서 전체응답이 5분미만으로 열처리에 대한 손상도가 높기 때문에 펌제의 활용도를 높이고 대신 열처리는 줄어들어 웨이브의 컬이 자연스럽게 연출되는 경향을 볼 수가 있고, 과거의 염색의 명도가 현재에 와서 많이 낮아졌다. 이는 명도에 대한 손상에 대해 미용실 이용고객의 손상에 대한 의식이 향상되었음을 시사한다. 따라서 헤어 전문가의 정확한 진단과 정확성을 고려한 시술이 고객의 손상에 대한 예방 및 의식을 향상 시킬 수 있을 것이며, 올바른 정보전달이 고객의 모발건강의 척도가 된다고 보며 유행이 변하더라도 항상 모발의 건강미와 더불어 스타일도 함께 모발의 손상관리도 병행하여 재 시술을 받더라도 손상도를 줄여 나가는 것이 헤어디자이너의 중요한 과제일 것이다.
