The purpose of the research is to find out how the music therapy applied by Orff and the audiation activity of Gordon affects to the children's concentration of attention and the excess behavior.
The 18 children of 5 years old in the facility located in the Kang Buk Gu, Seoul are observed divided by the group of treatment which is composed of 9 children and the control group to prove the effect of the therapy. The group music therapy is conducted for 30 minutes, twice a week. The total time is 15.
The tools to measure the result in the research are ACTeRS for the teachers and the standard for the stability of the conners parents and the teachers in order to measure the concentration of intention.
The result of the research is following.
Hypothesis 1. The music therapy is proved to improve the concentration of intention for the children in the facilities. As the result, there is a meaningful improvement of the concentration caused by the music therapy.
Hypothesis 2. The music therapy is proved to decrease the excess behavior for the children in the facilities. As the result, there is a aningful decrement of the excess behavior. Based on the above result of the research, it may provide the positive effect for decrease the excess behavior and the improve the concentration of intention to use the music therapy applied by Orff and the audiation activity of Gordon.
It gives the great meaning as the case in which the way of the therapy is suggested to decrease the excess behavior and improve the concentration of intention for the children in the facilities through the audiation activity of Gordon in the research. And, for the music media to treat the children, it gives the meaning to be the case in which we are able to use the Orff music and Gordon music as the educational view.
