조선시대의 기녀복식이 여자복식에 미친 영향 : 풍속화와 판소리 자료를 중심으로 = (A) study on the effect of the Kinyeo costume on the women's costume in Chosun dynasty

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 기녀의 풍속을 중심으로 한 생활복식으로서의 기녀복식을 풍속화와 판소리계 소설인 춘향전을 통해서 조사하고, 이러한 기녀복식이 조선시대 여자복식에 미친 영향을 고찰한 것이다.
기녀복식의 고찰을 위해서는 먼저 기녀의 존재에 대해서 살펴 보았고, 이어서 선행연구를 살펴봄으로써 섭렵되지 못한 범위를 관찰하려고 노력하였다. 기녀복식은 의복류와 두식류, 장신구류로 구분하였으며, 이를 통해 기녀복식의 사회적 영향을 고찰하였다.
첫째, 기녀복식은 기녀의 직업적인 특성상 erotic하고 사치한 것이었다. 기녀들은 일반여자복식과는 다른 그녀들만의 독특한 복식풍속으로 옷 입는 방법을 달리 하였는데, 저고리는 짧고 좁게 하였고, 치마는 여러겹의 속옷을 겹쳐 입어 풍성하게 하였다.
둘째, 기녀의 머리모양은 대체로 가체 드린 얹은머리였으며, 외출시에는 여기에 장의·쓰개치마·가리마·천의·전모·아얌 등의 쓰개류를 착용하였다.
셋째, 장식적인 면에서 기녀는 사치노예라는 신분의 특수성과 같이 금·은·주옥의 장신구류를 착용하였으며, 화장도 진한 粉黛化粧을 하였다
이와같은 계급을 초월한 기녀의 복식사치는 양반부녀자를 비롯한 전 계층의 부녀자들에게 선망의 대상이 되기에 충분한 것이었다. 그리하여 당시의 부녀자들은 단소한 저고리와 풍성한 치마로 下厚上薄의 실루엣을 연출해 냈으며, 일부의 양반 부녀자들은 기녀의 복식을 그대로 따라하기도 하였다.
그리고 기녀의 복식을 모방하려는 부녀자들의 복식행동은 이내 우리의 복식문화로 굳어져 기녀의 단소한 저고리와 풍성한 치마는 조선후기처럼 극단적이지는 않지만 오늘날까지도 이어지고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to research of the Kinyeo costume as a living costume focused on the Kinyeo manners and costume through a genre picture and Choonhyang-chun, a pansori line, examine the effect of this Kinyeo costume on the women's costume. Since the Kinyeo costume was in fashion over all classes in Chosun Dynasty, and had an effect on the structure of over all women costume.
For the consideration of the Kinyeo costume, this study explored the existence of Kinyeo, and divided the Kinyeo costume into dresses, hair decorations, and accessories inquired into the social effect of the Kinyeo costume through this.
As a result of research, this study reached the following conclusion as to the Kinyeo costume as a living costume.
1. The Kinyeo costume was erotic and extravagant on Kinyeo's occupational characteristics. Kinyeos dressed themselves with different types of costume from those of general women, that is, dressed up short and narrow Jogoris, derwears in duplicates, making them look affluent Chima.
2. Kinyeos generally wore hair in the style of Uneun-Mori with Gache inserted, and wore headdresses like Changeui, Seugae-Chima, Karima, Cheoneui, Chunmo, Ayam and so on in addition to it.
3. In the decorative regard, Kinyeos wore gold, silver and jewel accessories as a token of the characteristic of extravagant slave in the social status, and used a dark make-up of Bundae(that of power and eyebrows).
The Kinyeos' luxury of costume like this, sufficed to be an subject of envy to all classes of women including noble women. Thus, then women produced the silhouette of up narrow and down wide style with a simple Jogori and a affluent Chima, some of noble class women would imitate the Kinyeos' style of costume.
The women's dressing behavior to imitate the Kinyeos' style has been fixed as our costume culture. Thus, Kinyeos' simple and artless Jogoris and affluent Chima have been handed down to the present though they are not so extreme as those of the late Chosun.
