환경친화적 골프장 조성에 관한 골프장 내장객의 인식조사 및 선리치골프장 사례연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

도시는 산업화 도시화가 진전되고 경제 성장의 결과, 개인의 소득증대와 여가시간의 증가로 인해 인간의 레저, 관광 욕구가 증대되었다.
국내 골프수요는 05년 이용객수가 1800여만명에 이르러 최근 5년간 평균 10% 이상 증가율을 보이고 있으며, 골프인구는 340만명에 이르고 있다. 따라서 골프는 특권계층의 전유물이 아닌 대중 스포츠로 자리 매김하고 있으나, 우리나라의 경제규모, 국토면적, 인구 등을 감안 하더라도 외국과 비교할 때 골프장 수가 현저히 부족한 실정이다.
본 연구는 골프가 대중 스포츠로 자리매김 함에 따라 늘어가고 있는 신규 골프장의 조성시에 훼손된 자연환경의 복원과, 자연과 함께 하고자 하는 현대인의 욕구를 증대시킬 수 있도록 골프장에 대한 이용자 인식 실태를 조사하고 실제 조성된 친환경 골프장의 사례연구를 통하여 환경친화적 골프장을 조성 하고자 하는데 기초적인 자료를 제공함에 있다.
골프장에 대한 이용자 인식 실태 조사결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 골프장이 지역개발과 지역사회 발전에 기여하고, 국토의 효율적 활용에 기여하고 있다고 인지하고 있었으며, 주변 환경을 보존하고, 대중적 골프장이 많이 건설되어야 한다고 생각하고 있어 자연환경보전에 관심이 높음을 알 수 있었다.
둘째, 골프장과 환경오염과의 관계에서 골프장 건설에 따른 환경파괴에 대해서 그렇지 않다는 반응을 보였으며 이는 기존에 골프장이 야기해 온 환경문제와 골프장과 환경간에 대중들이 느끼는 부정적 시각과는 다소 거리가 있는 것으로 보여 진다.
셋째, 환경친화적 골프장 조성에 관한 문항 중 환경친화적 골프장의 필요성에 과한 질문에서 대부분의 응답자가 긍정적으로 응답하였으며 환경친화적 골프장 설계시에는 앞에서도 언급 했듯이 골프장내에 생태연못 조성과 자연 그대로에 가까운 골프코스 설계 및 조경수목의 자생식물화를 위한 환경친화적 조경설계에 관심이 높은 것으로 분석되었다.
이를 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 현제 조성중인 골프장으로 대상으로 골프장 조경계획, 골프장 내 관계용수 공급 방안, 생태연못 조성의 사례연구를 실시하였다.
골프장 조경설계에 있어서 골프 코스 설계와 조경설계의 분리가 아닌 코스설계자의 의도를 충분히 반영하고도 기존림을 훼손 하지 않아도 될 수 있는 구상을 조경설계자는 제시해야 하며, 골프장 내 수목 식재 계획 시 공간별·기능별 식재 계획을 수립하여야 한다.
골프장 내 관계용수 공급 방안은 저류지에 유입되는 우수량 및 오수처리량과 저류지에서 유출되는 증발량과 관개용수 사용량을 고려하여 과거 10년간의 기상자료를 이용 저류지의 물수지를 분석한 결과 관개용수의 사용량은 저류지의 저류수를 사용하더라도 충분한 양을 확보할 수 있는 것으로 분석되었다.
골프장내 생태연못 조성 시 수초대를 조성하여 수질을 정화하는 방법을 활용하고 대상지가 가진 특성과 여건을 최대한 활용하여 습지나 계류를 계획하는데 있어서 환경친화적인 계획의 접근과 생태적인 조성을 고려하였으며, 계류와 계류사이의 저류지내 부유분수를 설치하여 부유분수가 분사 및 파동형성 작용을 통하여 저류수를 순환시킴으로써 녹조현상, 동결, 악취, 바닥찌꺼기 등의 문제점을 효과적이면서 안전하게 정화할 수 있도록 조성하였다.
본 연구에서는 현재 조성 중인 대상지를 중심으로 대상지 환경에 맞는 골프장 조성 기법을 연구 적용하였지만 이것이 우리나라의 다양한 지형에서 조성되고 있는 골프장에 대한 환경친화적 골프장의 조성 지표가 될 수 있다고는 생각하지 않는다. 따라서 환경친화적 골프장에 대한 다양한 조성 기법이 연구, 개발되어야 할 것이며, 골프장 조성 후 골프장 관리에 따른 환경친화적 방법에 대한 지속적인 연구가 필요하다 사료된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The desire for leisure activities and tourism has been increasing in Korea due to higher incomes and increased free time resulting from industrialization, urbanization, and rapid economic growth. In 2005, there were 3.4 million golfers and the demand for golf facilities reached 18 million, averaging a 10 percent of increase in the previous 5 years. While playing golf is not just a sport for the privileged class anymore, the number of golf courses is remarkably less than other foreign countries with comparable economic size, population, and land space. This research is to provide basic data to build environment-friendly golf courses with a case-study of an actual eco-friendly golf course, the Sun Rich Country Club, and to determine golfers’ satisfaction through a survey of their awareness of golf courses. Results of the survey are as follows. First, respondents answered that golf courses contributed to development of local areas and communities, and are efficient usage of land space. In addition, they agreed with building more public eco-friendly golf courses and were interested in preserving ecosystems around golf courses. Secondly, respondents disagreed over the issue of environmental destruction in building golf courses. This showed different views between golfers and the public who understood existing golf courses destroyed the environment and created pollution in surrounding areas. Thirdly, most respondents gave positive answers to questions concerning the necessity of eco-friendly golf courses. Moreover, they were interested in eco-friendly landscape architecture in golf courses, such as building ecological ponds, leaving untouched nature, and placing native plants. This research performed a case-study of a golf course currently being built and its plans for landscape architecture, irrigation systems, and ecological ponds. Results of the case-study are as follows. First, regarding landscape architecture, designers need to suggest how to preserve existing plants under the master plans to build golf courses, and prepare a specific plan for placing spatial and functional plants. Secondly, regarding a plan for irrigation systems, an irrigation reservoir was enough for required water supply, which was analyzed by a 10-year database of inflow of rainfall, naturally vaporized water, sewage process, and amount of water usage. Thirdly, regarding a plan for ecological ponds, aquatic plants were used as a water purifier in swamps and streams established in natural environmental conditions featuring eco-friendly and ecological development. Additionally, floating fountains for water circulation should be placed in the reservoir located between streams to resolve several problems efficiently and safely, such as green algae, freezing, odor, and sludge. In conclusion, this research focused on a golf course currently being built where suitable methods were applied to particular configurations of the ground. However, the findings of this research can not be applied overall to golf courses as a standard index when it comes to being eco-friendly. Therefore, various approaches toward building eco-friendly golf courses should be researched and developed case by case, as well as continuous eco-friendly maintenance for existing courses.
