유아의 성별 및 인형극 활동이 돕기와 나누기에 미치는 영향

The main goal of this study is to analyze the effects of children's sex and puppet play activities on the children's helping and sharing behaviors. The subjects were 66 five-year-old children at J kindergarten which was located in Daegu City. Those children were assigned in groups two groups, exprimental group and comparison group, considering their age and gender, family back ground, their living environments. The experimental group received the puppet play activities 24 times for the total of 12 weeks. And the comparison group was read of fairy tales and talked about it and then watched experimental group's puppet play activities.
Research tools were Iannotti(1985)'s for helping behavior, scale Bar-Tal(1979)'s 5 steps sharing behaviors scale which was used by Gae(1979) for sharing behavior research. Before and after the treatment, two group of children were tested to find out the interaction between children's sex and existence and nonexistence of puppet play activities for helping and sharing behaviors. The data were analyzed by two-way ANCOVA in order to explore the effects of children's sex and puppet play activities on the children's helping and sharing behaviors and find out its interactions effects.
The result were as follows, First, puppet play activities were effective in improving children's helping behavior in positive way but there was no differences by sex or interaction between sex and group. Second, puppet play activity were effective in improving children's sharing behaviors. However, there was no significant difference by sex or interaction between sex and group.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 유아의 성별 및 인형극 활동이 유아의 돕기와 나누기에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구의 대상은 대구광역시에 위치한 J 유치원 만 5세 66명으로 연령, 성, 가정, 환경을 고려하여 동질집단인 실험집단과 비교집단으로 구성하였다.
실험집단은 인형극 활동을 12주간 24회를 실시하였으며, 비교집단은 실험집단과 같은 기간동안 동화를 듣고 이야기 나누기와 실험집단의 인형극을 관람하였다.
검사 도구로는 돕기 행동의 검사 도구는 Iannotti(1985)의 돕기 행동 검사 도구를 사용하였고, 나누기 행동 검사 도구는 계향숙이 사용한 Bar-Tal(1979)의 나누기 행동에 대한 5단계 측정도구를 사용하여 사전, 사후 검사를 실시함으로써 유아의 성별 및 인형극 활동의 유무가 돕기 행동과 나누기 행동에 효과가 있는지와 집단과 성별간의 상호작용 효과가 있는지를 살펴보았다.
자료처리는 본 연구는 유아의 성별 및 인형극 활동이 유아의 돕기, 나누기에 영향을 미치는가에 대해 집단과 성별 간에 상호작용 효과가 있는지를 살펴보기 위해 돕기, 나누기의 사전 검사를 공변인으로 하여 사후 검사에 대한 이원 공분산분석을(two-way ANCOVA)를 실시하였다.
본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인형극 활동이 유아의 돕기 행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 상별 및 집단과 성별에서는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째 인형극 활동이 유아의 나누기 행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났지만, 성별 및 집단과 성별에서는 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 이러한 연구결과는 인형극 활동의 유무가 성별에 관계없이 유아의 돕기 행동과 나누기 행동을 향상시키는데 효과적인 활동임을 시사한다.
