유치원 종일제 프로그램 운영에 관한 부모의 인식 및 요구 = (A) study on parents' perception of kindergartens' Full-day programs and their needs for them

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 부모들의 요구가 반영되는 동시에 질좋은 유치원 종일제 프로그램을 위한 기초 연구로써 유치원 종일제 프로그램 운영 현황에 관한 부모의 인식과 요구를 알아보는 것이다.

연구목적에 따른 연구문제는 다음과 같다.
1. 유치원 종일제 프로그램 운영 현황에 대한 부모의 인식은 어떠한가?
2. 유치원 종일제 프로그램 운영에 대한 부모의 요구는 어떠한가?

연구 대상은 Y시에 있는 종일제 프로그램을 운영하고 있는 5개 유치원의 부모 102명을 대상으로 하였다.
연구 도구는 박춘기(2000), 구정주 (2001)의 설문지를 본 연구 목적에 맞도록 재구성하였으며 재구성한 설문지는 유아교육 전문가 2인에 의해 내용 타당도를 검증받았다.
연구 절차는 기존 연구나 학설을 토대로 이론적 고찰을 하였으며 검증을 위한 실증 조사 및 분석하였다. 자료 분석 방법은 수집된 자료를 빈도와 백분율로 산출하여 분석하였다.
연구 결과는 유치원 종일제 프로그램에 참여하는 주된 동기는 부모의 맞벌이로 인해 자녀를 돌보아 줄 사람이 필요했으며, 교육시간은 부모의 직장 생활에 따라 오전 8시부터 오후7시까지 운영 할 것을 요구하였다. 또한 교육비는 부담을 느끼고 있으며, 부모와 국가가 공동부담하기를 요구하였다.
유치원 종일제에서 가장 중요하다고 생각하는 부분은 놀이활동이었으며, 안전한 교육 및 보호를 기대하고 단일연령 집단 구성을 선호하고 부모교육은 사회성 발달을 도모하기 위한 내용을 원하였다.
따라서 유치원 종일제 프로그램에 참여하는 유아들을 위해 더욱 다양하고 질좋은 프로그램의 모색이 요구된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to review the conditions and operation of kindergartens' full-day programs perceived by parents and thereby, help develop quality full-day programs reflecting parents' needs.
For this study, the following study points were set up;
1. How are the full-day programs operated by kindergartens?
2. What are parents' needs for such programs?
In order to find answers to the above questions, 102 parents whose children were attending 5 kindergartens in "Y" city were sampled.
A questionnaire was developed in reference to Park Choon-gi (2000) and Gu Jeong-joo (2001), and it was tested by two early childhood experts for its validity.
For this study, preceding studies and theories were reviewed theoretically, and thereupon, a questionnaire survey was conducted to test the theories.
The collected data were analyzed for frequencies and percentages.
As a result of this study, it was found that the primary motive of the parents who sent their children to the full-day programs at kindergartens was to have their children taken care of because they were working couples. Parents wanted that the full-day programs should be operated from 8 o'clock in the morning to 7 o'clock in the evening.
Most of the parents requested that the government should share the cost of the education for their children.
The most important part of the full-day program perceived by parents was play. Most of the parents hoped that their children would be educated and protected and that they would be grouped depending on their age and that they would develop their sociability. Given such parents' perceptions, it is necessary to develop more diverse quality full-day programs for the kindergarten children.
