This paper aims to analyze the realization of Korean interrogative sentences's intonation from Chinese. To hypothesize that Chinese students for Korean language should be made many errors to pronounce the final syllable of interrogative sentences in Korean. Under the circumstance, many Chinese students make rising sound at the final of syllable of interrogative sentences in Korean prosody very radically because of the wrong recognition of Korean interrogative sentence.
Therefore, the final syllable prosody should by investigated in order to facilitate the description in interrogative sentences in Korean by Chinese Korean learners phonetical experiments and analyzes.
The first chapter showed that to emphasis the need on the importance of final syllable pitch boundary tune from Korean interrogative sentences.
The second chapter showed that the precedent study of intonational phrase for propriety of this paper. Also, Korean and Chinese prosody studies would be shown with interaction of the meaning and intonation.
The third chapter showed that intonation of Korean interrogative sentences such as 'wh- question, yes/no question and alternative question'.
The fourth chapter showed that to classify the prosody style of Korean interrogative sentences by 3 questions as above.
The fifth chapter showed that to analyze the final syllables' boundary tune by phonetical experiments using by Pitchworks program. For the standard Korean interrogative sentences, 10 Seoul citizen are participated by phonetical recording. Also, 6 Chinse -Korean leaners are participated for the recording with the pronunciation of Korean interrogative sentences.
The sixth chapter showed that to analyze the result of the fifth chapter with showing each student's MBP files of Korean interrogative sentences. Also, the standard Korean interrogative sentence as of wh- question, yes/no question and alternative question' would be shown in front of the each sentence. Result of the analyzes showed that in interrogative sentences, the boundary tune of final syllable rose or rose-down gradually in general within 3-interrogative sentence as 'wh-question', 'yes/no question' and alternative question'.
As the result of beginning level of Chinese-Korean leaners were realized the final syllables' boundary tune as of H% or LH%. But its result was not in accord with each other mostly. And the advance level of Chinese-Korean leaners were realized the final syllables' boundary tune as of H%, LH% or HL% and its result was 50% in accord with each other.
Then, Chinse students did many errors by interference phenomenon when they pronounce the boundary tune because of their mother language-Chinese. Especially 마(ma, 嗎) as one of interrogative in Chinese.
The seventh chapter showed that to present what they require to improve their Korean language skills for Chinese-Korean leaners.
The last chapter showed the effective educational schemes as followings ;
First, to make accurate recognition of internal meanings of Korean interrogative sentence.
Second, to make accurate recognition of the final syllable's boundary tune in Korean interrogative sentence.
Finally, to need intensive training of words intervals to help understanding Korean phrase or sentences' meaning.
