The purpose of this study is to suggest the solution to reduce burn-out that in-home care center employees are experiencing by comparison and analysis on difference of burn-out according to type of care center, personal characteristics, environment, clients and professional factors. The contents of this study are as follows.
First, general characteristics of employees in in-home care center is figured out.
Second, the level of burn-out according to the type of care center and type of job is compared.
Third, main factors of burn-out such as work environment, relationship with clients, job satisfaction is figured out.
This study used questionnaire of 170sheets and the result is as follows.
First, the less monthly income, one of personal factors that affects emotional exhaustion, the more the employees are exhausted. The more equivocal relationship with clients, the more the employees are exhausted emotionally. In addition, about working environment, the less autonomy they have, the employees are exhausted emotionally.
Second, inappropriate relationship with clients in depersonalization makes the employees feel burn-out more than personal factors affecting depersonalization do.
Third, the more the relationship between the employees and clients in client factors affecting decrease of personal achievement is negative, the less feeling of achievement. And the more uncomfortable environment they are in and the less paid, the less achievement they feel.
Based on this result, solution to reduce burn-out of the employees in in-home care center can be suggested as follows. There should be change in allowance and wages and expansion of promotion, better environment, and education for professionalism. Burn-out phenomenon is not one-dimensional situation that can be figured out in one way, but it should be multi-dimensionally understood with complex factors.
Finally, specificity by facility should be considered to figure out main cause of burn-out so that the solution that burn-out can be reduced should be studied.
