글 없는 그림책을 활용한 문학 활동이 유아의 창의성에 미치는 효과 = (The) effect of literary activities using wordless picture books on children's creativity

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 문학 활동이 유아의 창의성에 미치는 효과를 알아보고 창의성 교육 자료로 활용하는데 그 목적이 있다.
이와 같은 목적에 따라 설정한 연구 문제는 다음과 같다.
1. 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 문학 활동이 유아의 척도별 창의성 신장에 영향을 미치는가?
2. 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 문학 활동이 유아의 언어 창의성 신장에 영향을 미치는가?
3. 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 문학 활동이 유아의 도형 창의성 신장에 영향을 미치는가?
4. 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 문학 활동이 유아의 동작 표현 창의성 신장에 영향을 미치는가?
본 연구의 대상은 대전광역시에 소재하고 있는 M유치원의 만 5세반 유아 2학급으로 각각 17명(남8명, 여9명)씩 34명이다. 글 없는 그림책 '사과가 쿵' 과 '사과와 나비'를 활용하여 문학 활동에 참여한 연구 집단과 문학 활동에 참여하지 않은 비교집단으로 구성하였다.
글 없는 그림책을 활용한 문학 활동이 유아의 창의성에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해, 연구 집단은 글 없는 그림책으로 문학 활동을 2004년 11월 9일(화)부터 12월 24(금)일까지 8주 동안 1주에 2회씩 (1회에 40분) 16회에 걸쳐 640분 실시하였고, 비교집단은 일반적인 유치원 교육과정을 수행 하였으며 언어 영역에는 생활 주제에 따른 언어활동 자료를 투입하였다.
연구 집단에서 사용한 전략은 상호적인 토의방법 (임영심,1994;Morrow 1998)과 이경우(1998)의 글 없는 그림책의 교수방안을 참고로 하여 생각하기, 예측하기, 토의하기, 자신의 이야기로 꾸미기, 발표하기 등의 문학 활동으로 수행하였다.
유아의 창의성을 측정하기 위해 전경원(2004)의 '유아 종합 창의성 검사'를 실시하였다.
연구 문제를 검증하기 위하여 연구집단과 비교집단의 사전검사 및 사후검사에 대한 공분산 분석을 실시하였다.
본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 문학 활동은 유아의 창의성 증진에 효과적이다.
둘째, 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 문학 활동은 유아의 언어 창의성 증진에 효과적이다.
셋째, 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 문학 활동은 유아의 도형 창의성 증진에 효과적이다.
넷째, 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 문학 활동은 유아의 동작 표현 창의성 증진에 효과적이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This thesis intends to research the effect of literary activities using wordless picture books on children's creativity. Four main research questions of the present study are as follows: First, do literary activities using wordless picture books improve children's creativity? Second, do literary activities using wordless picture books improve children's creativity in language area? Third, do literary activities using wordless picture books improve children's creativity in geometry? Fourth, do literary activities using wordless picture books improve children's creativity in kinesthetic expression?
The subjects of this study were 34 five-year-old children boy: 16 ; girl: 18 from a kindergarten located in Daejeon Metropolitan City. Two wordless picture books such as "Bang" of an Apple" and "The Apple and the Butterfly" were used. The experimental group participated in literary activities whereas the comparison group did not.
To research the effect of literary activities using wordless picture books on children's creativity, the experimental group participated in literary activities using wordless picture books, twice a week (40 minutes per 1 session), for 8 weeks during two months. The total amount of time of the literacy activities was 640minutes for 16 sessions. The comparison group participated in general kindergarten curriculum and studied language activity materials related with themes of life in language area.
The strategy used by the experimental group was " Interactive Discussion" (Lim Youngsim 1994; Morrow 1998). With reference to teaching methods of wordless picture books (Lee Gyeongwu 1998), literary activities (such as) "thinking", "predicting", "discussing", "creating their own stories", and "presenting" were performed.
To measure children's creativity, Integrative Creativity Test for Children by Jeon Gyeongwon (2004) was used. Several ANCOVAS (Analysis of Covariance) of the pretest and the post-test of the experimental and comparison groups were computed.
The results of the study were as follows: First, literary activities using wordless picture books were effective in improving children's creativity in general. Second, literary activities using wordless picture books were effective in improving children's creativity in language area. Third, literary activities using wordless picture books were effective in improving children's creativity in geometry. Fourth, literary activities using wordless picture books were effective in improving children's creativity in kinesthetic expression.
