아동이 지각한 부모갈등과 사회불안의 관계에서 스트레스 대처능력의 매개효과 = The Mediating Effects of Stress Coping Strategies on the Relationships between Parental Conflicts Perceived by Children and Children's Social Anxiety

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 아동이 지각한 부모갈등이 사회불안에 미치는 영향에 대한 스트레스 대처능력의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다.
서울에 위치한 초등학교 5, 6학년 학생 463명을 대상으로 아동이 지각한 부모갈등 척도, 아동의 스트레스 대처행동 척도, 한국판 아동·청소년용 사회불안 척도를 사용하여 조사하였다.
수집된 자료는 SPSS 12.0을 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구대상의 일반적 특성을 알아보기 위하여 빈도와 백분율을 산출하였고, 각 변인의 관계를 알아보기 위하여 상관분석과 단순회귀분석을 실시하였다. 또한 아동이 지각한 부모갈등과 사회불안의 관계에서 스트레스 대처능력의 매개효과를 알아보기 위하여 Baron과 Kenny(1986)가 제안한 매개효과 검증 절차를 사용하였다.
본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 아동이 지각한 부모갈등이 사회불안에 미치는 영향이 유의하였다.
둘째, 스트레스 대처능력의 하위요인 중 적극적 대처능력, 소극/회피적 대처능력, 그리고 공격적 대처능력이 아동의 사회불안에 미치는 영향이 유의하였다. 따라서 Baron과 Kenny(1986)가 제안한 매개효과 검증 절차를 사용하여 매개효과를 검증하였다.
셋째, 아동이 지각한 부모갈등과 사회불안의 관계에서 스트레스 대처능력의 매개효과를 검증한 결과, 소극/회피적 대처능력과 공격적 대처능력이 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다.
이와 같은 결과를 토대로 본 연구는 아동의 사회불안에 대한 부모갈등의 영향력을 확인하였고, 스트레스 대처능력과 아동의 사회불안의 관계를 규명하였다. 또한 아동이 지각한 부모갈등과 사회불안의 관계에서 소극/회피적 대처능력과 공격적 대처능력의 매개효과를 확인하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effects of stress coping strategies on the relationships between parental conflicts perceived by children and children's social anxiety. The subjects were 463 children in class 5 and 6 at elementary schools in Seoul. The Children's Perception of Interparental Conflict Scale, The Children's Stress Coping Behaviors Scale and The Korean Social Anxiety Scale for Children and Adolescents were assessed. The data were analyzed by frequency, Pearson's correlation and regression using SPSS. Lastly, Baron and Kenny's(1986) model was used to verify mediational effects.
The results were as follows:
First, parental conflicts perceived by children had a significant effects on children's social anxiety.
Second, active, passive/avoidant and aggressive coping strategies had a significant effects on children's social anxiety.
Finally, passive/avoidant and aggressive coping strategies mediated the relationships between parental conflicts perceived by children and children's social anxiety.
This study was confirmed the effects of the parental conflicts on children's social anxiety and investigated the relationships between stress coping strategies and children's social anxiety. Additionally, it was confirmed the mediating effects of stress coping strategies on the relationships between parental conflicts perceived by children and children's social anxiety.
