The purpose of this study is to examine what kind of effect and correlation the perception of activity in social contribution and the image attitude by entertainers have on the entertainer's identity and how the fame or star nature is changed over the entire identity.
In this study, the author found out whether the image type selected by experts conformed to the image type that the public saw through the feature in terms of image type of entertainers seen to the public and the actual cases of proof to the contrary. By selecting 6 entertainers through an interview with experts, the author divided them into part A, B, and C per group. Group A is a group with the similar condition, fame and star nature with Group B. The author divided into entertainer's Group B who seems to be good at a social contribution activity and entertainer's Group A who does not seem to be good at a social contribution activity. And the author examined which correlation and effect the perception of social contribution activity had on the image and identity. In case of Group C with a different property in selection standard, the author found out the difference of it as the group with a low recognition or star nature in comparison to A and B. In addition, the author reviewed the scope of effect the perception of social contribution activity had on the identity of entertainers and whether the public had a positive and friendly attitude similar to the perception of social contribution activity of a company.
The author prepared the questionnaire of 18 questions including 5 definitions for the experimental study. As a result of conducting Cronbach's alpha test for each item to analyze the reliance of the concept for 4 items forming the concept of each item by analyzing the questionnaire of respondents, a bigger numerical value than the normally used standard value which was 0.6. Subsequently, it has a high reliance. To review the perception of social contribution activity of entertainers and the attitude in Part A, B, and C, the author adopted ANOVA. To examine the effect on favorable impression(attitude) by the identity on entertainers including the perception on social contribution activity in each case by dividing 3 groups per entertainer's group, the author reviewed it through a multiple regression analysis. In this regard, the author regarded the property of favorable impression as the attitude of entertainers. The author examined which effect the nature of social contribution, nature of charm, professional nature, and nature of reliance had on the attitude of entertainers and which property had the most significant effect.
As a result of checking through the questionnaire in this study, entertainers' Group B that had the image of a good perception of social contribution activity had the significant effect in terms of actual statistics followed by entertainers' Group A and Group C that had a low recognition and fame. This showed the result which was the same as the model in the standard of selecting 6 entertainers. In terms of a property of entertainer's identity, Group A showed higher statistics than Group B in terms of a property excluding a nature of social contribution and a nature of reliance, which can be interpreted that the perception of social contribution activity of an entertainer does not necessarily have a significant effect on a nature of charm, professional nature, and favorable attitude that the entertainer's image had. However, in consideration of the fact that the reliance of Group B which had a very high perception of social contribution activity would be better than Group A, it can be inferred that the perception of social contribution activity had the closest linkage with the reliance among the property of entertainer's identity. Moreover, like the items of reliance including that this entertainer could be trusted, that this entertainer would act to enhance the fame, and that this entertainer would be honest, although the image on perception of social contribution activity would be connected to their reliance and favorable attitude in general, it is not possible to accurately find out whether the social contribution activity itself would be their pure motive or be seen as a marketing perception to enhance a fame. However, the attitude on whether it would be likely or not could not be excluded.
In respect of the attitude on entertainer in Group B, their perception of social contribution activity did not have an effect on favorable attitude. Since the public that Group B with an image of good social contribution activity actually recognized so had an attitude that the social contribution or reliance would be an image seen in such a manner, it did not have a significant effect on an identity and favorable attitude of entertainers.
Since the attitude on perception of social contribution activity or reliance is shown through an image shown by an entertainer, role in a play, image in advertisement, publicity marketing, or diverse exposure, etc., it can be guessed that an image making is possible.
On the other hand, since other identity's property or overall attitude in Group A showed the statistics similar to Group B, in case an image marketing is conducted in respect of the perception of social contribution activity, the public is likely to show a much better attitude.
Through this experimental research, the fame and recognition had a significant correlation in terms of other identity's property including a perception of social contribution and showed the attitude of a comparatively low interest compared to a more accurate and clear questionnaire due to an insufficient recognition of entertainer in Group C. This can remain as a further research topic on a making of perception on image. If an entertainer who cannot conduct an activity of social contribution with a reduced recognition and less popularity conducts a social contribution to be in line with an individual characteristic without being biased in terms of size or exposure in social contribution, it will have a significant effect in enhancing an image of entertainer and favorable attitude in a future.
To make a saving such as a trust in the public's heart will become a strategic marketing plan for an entertainer.
