플로랄 디자인의 가변적 특성과 감성적 요인 분석 연구 : 오브제 미술의 설치 양식을 중심으로 = (An)analytical study on variable characteristics and emotional factors of floral design : in terms of installation aspects of object art

국문 초록 (Abstract)

21세기의 예술은 일상생활의 모든 표현으로 확장 되어 예술과 삶의 경계가 허물어지고 디자인 영역에서도 가치 구조와 사상을 전문화, 다원화의 변화를 모색하고 반영하려는 활발한 시도가 진행되고 있다. 이에 설치 미술로서의 플로랄 디자인은 자연 소재를 표현 매체로 하여 새로운 예술적 표현의 자유를 추구하며 조형성을 강조하는 시각언어로 대중에게 전달되고 있다. 플로랄 디자인이 설치 미술로서 주목받기 시작한 역사는 오래되지 않지만 인간 생활주변의 오브제적 개념과 연관된 시공간 예술로 발전하고 있다. 이에 오브제적 설치미술 유형의 플로랄 디자인을 이해하기 위하여 오브제 미술의 설치 양상을 이론적 배경과 문헌을 통해 고찰하고, 미학적 관점에서 재료와 디자인 표현을 중심으로 재조명하여 자연 식물과 혼합재료의 창의적 조립을 통해 작품화하는 플로랄 디자인의 오브제성을 정립하고자 하였다.
이에 본 연구는 플로랄 디자인의 설치 사례를 오브제 미술과 설치 유형 측면에서 분석하여 독특한 특성과 기능을 바탕으로 합리적 시각전달을 위한 새로운 접근 관점에서 파악하여 설치적 방향성과 가능성을 모색하였다. 그리고 플로랄 디자인의 예술적 가치와 발전가능성에 대한 설문조사를 시행하였고, 도출된 주요 내용은 다음과 같다.
꽃으로 새로운 미를 창조한 시각적 측면, 자연식물소재로 인한 심리적, 정서적 교감이나 감동을 통해 플로랄 디자인이 실생활 분야에서 높은 관심을 보였고, 꽃의 상징이미지는 생명력, 기쁨, 사랑의 이미지 순으로 받아들여졌다 .꽃이 봉오리에서부터 잎이 떨어지는 모습과 열매를 맺는 모습 등 꽃 예술 디자인의 가변적 표현성에 새로운 예술적 시각과 가치가 있었고, 자연적인 스타일, 봉오리 형태의 설치가 선호되었고, 꽃과 나무, 풀, 금속, 종이. 유리, 착색재료와 자연현상까지 접목하고자 하는 소재의 다양성이 추구되었다.
결론적으로 플로랄 디자인이 오브제로서의 다양한 설치미술 분야, 인테리어 분야로의 발전 잠재력과 설치 미술 분야에서의 응용잠재력을 보여주었다. 즉 플로랄 디자인은 환경의 오염으로 인류생존 자체가 위협받는 상황에서 시대정신을 드러내는 의미 있는 예술 활동으로 자연에 대한 적극적인 관심의 표명이고, 소재 자체가 갖는 생명력이 사이클과 리듬에 따라 끊임없이 변화하는 과정을 예술로 수용하는 영역으로, 자연과 인간의 우주적 조화를 의도한 완전한 미적 표현의 구현임을 알 수 있었다.
이상의 연구결과는 인간의 내재된 관념의 세계를 살아있는 조형적 예술 환경으로서의 플로랄 디자인이 설치 미학으로 발전하고 있음을 보여주었다. 즉 다양한 표현 매체와 양식의 자유로운 통합을 통해, 환경 친화적 재료 요소를 감각화 시켜서 현대 환경 공간에 표현하여 접목하고 있는 것이다. 이것을 바탕으로 현대 플로랄 디자인의 전개를 시도한다면 디자인의 가치와 진정한 의미를 찾을 수 있을 것이다.

Art for the 21st century has been expanded to the expression of all of daily life, to collapse the boundaries between life and art. Also in design area, there are active attempts to reflect the diversified and specialized changes in the value and thinking structure. Flower Art as Installation Art is delivered to the public in the visual language stressing on the formative properties in pursuit of freedom of new art expressionism by means of natural objects.
The history of flower art design has not been so long since it began to gain the attraction as Installation Art, however, it has been visual and spacious art linked to the human daily life object concepts. In this regard, in order to understand the flower art design in the form of object-based Installation Art, this paper tries to examine the theoretical background of object-based installation aspects through the previous literatures, shed new light on the materials and design expressionism in terms of aesthetic view to establish the object-properties of the flower art design works through creative assembly of natural plants and combined materials.
For this purpose, this study seeks for the installation direction and possibility by analyzing the installation cases of flower art design works in terms of the view on object-based art and installation type, and then by understanding them on new approach based on its unique functionality to deliver the reasonable viewpoint. Next, the survey was made to acquire the answers on the value and future possibility of flower art area as art in the future. The points deduced from the result are as follows;
Floral design attracted a lot of interest in real life thanks to visual aspect, which created new concept of beauty through flowers, and psychological or sentimental consensus based on natural and botanical materials. The representative image of flowers was mostly appreciated as vitality, and it was followed by delight and love.
There was a new artistic point and value in variable expression of flower art design such as blooming of flower bud, falling leaves and bearing fruits, and natural style and bud-type statues were preferred when it came to establishment. Moreover, there was an attempt to mix with various materials, such as flowers, tree, weed, metal, paper, glass, coloring agents and even natural phenomenon.
In conclusion, this research showed possibility of flower art design to be applied as an objet to various kinds of installation arts and interior field, as well as showing practical potential within installation art field. In other words, flower art is a meaningful art activity which expresses the spirit of the times, during the era in which the existence of human beings are intimidated due to environmental contamination. It is a representation of proactive interest toward nature, and a perfect realization of artistic expression which intended universal harmony between nature and human beings as it accepts endlessly changing process of materials' vitality along the cycle and rhythm in the form of art.
From the results above, we found that the flower art design is developing toward the installation aesthetics, which expresses the human intrinsic concepts through the live formative art environment. In other words, the flower art freely integrates various expression media and style to make the environment-friendly materials sensible to apply them to the modern environment spaces. If the attempts of modern flower art design are to be developed based on this point, the value and true meaning of this area will be acquired in the future.
