정신장애인의 사회적 지지와 자기효능감이 직업탐색효능감에 미치는 영향

Purpose: The purpose of this study were to investigate the influence of social support and self-efficacy on the career search self-efficacy for persons with mental disability, assess the mediating effect of self-efficacy in the relationship between social support and career search self-efficacy for persons with mental disability. Method: The subjects consisted of 171 persons with mental disability. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires, which were constructed to include social support, self-efficacy, and career search self-efficacy. The data were analyzed using the SPSS program. Result: Social support negatively related to career search self-efficacy, while social support negatively related to self-efficacy for persons with mental disability. Self-efficacy was significantly related to career search self-efficacy for persons with mental disability. A hierarchical strategy in multiple regression was completed to assess the mediating effect of self-efficacy. The result indicated that self-efficacy mediated the effect of social support on career search self-efficacy for persons with mental disability. Conclusion: Based on the outcomes of this study, it is necessary to design an intervention program that emphasizes increasing self-efficacy in order to increase career search self-efficacy for persons with mental disability.
