The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between perceived organizational support, perceived supervisor support and supervisor trust, organizational trust. Even though both concepts were argued to be developed based on exchange between an organization and employees, no study tried to establish the causal relationship between them.
In addition, the present paper examines two critical question: Does the supervisor trust mediate the relation between perceived supervisor support and organizational trust? and what is the role of perceived organizational support in relationship between the perceived supervisor support and organizational trust? To answer these question, data collected from 267 employees were used to empirically test the purposed of the study and structural equation modeling were used.
Results showed that perceived organizational support, perceived supervisor support had significant influences on the development of supervisor trust, organizational trust. Results indicate also that perceived organizational support acts as a mediate variable in the relationship between the perceived supervisor support and organizational trust. In addition, results indicate also that supervisor trust acts as a mediate variable in the relationship between the perceived supervisor support and organizational trust.
