텔레비전 프로그램을 활용한 쓰기 지도 방법 연구 : 초등학교 4학년 쓰기를 중심으로 = (The) study on writing for elementary schools using television program

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초등학교 국어과 쓰기 교육에서 매체의 활용을 일반화 하고자 하였다. 그리고 이 연구의 궁극적 목적은 텔레비전 프로그램 중에서 어린이 드라마, 뉴스, 그리고 다큐멘터리와 같은 TV 프로그램을 통하여 텔레비전 텍스트 쓰기 지도 절차를 개발하고, 이를 적용하여 교사들이 쓰기 접근 방법을 개발하도록 하는 데 있다.
이를 위해 본 연구는 교수·학습 과정에서 쓰기 능력을 기를 수 있는 몇 가지 전략을 수립하도록 하이퍼텍스트의 이론과 사회 구성주의를 바탕으로 하였다.
이 연구는 초등학교 4학년 학생이 경험하고 이해할 수 있는 제재를 선택하여 텔레비전 텍스트를 쓰기 교육에 실제적으로 적용하였다, 교과서 중심으로 운영되는 현재의 학교 현장에서 매체를 활용한 쓰기 교육의 요소를 끌어내는 데에는 현실적 제약이 많지만, 텔레비전 프로그램을 교육적인 환경으로 끌어들였다.
본 연구의 과정은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 쓰기와 관련된 이론과 선행 연구를 고찰하여 텔레비전 텍스트를 활용한 쓰기 지도 프로그램을 개발하였다.
둘째, 제 7차 교육과정에서 제시된 4학년 국어교과서와 교사용 지도서를 분석하여 텔레비전 텍스트의 내용을 재구성하였다.
셋째, 텔레비전 텍스트로 활용할 수 있는 프로그램을 선정하여 교육과정에 주어진 쓰기 시간과 재량활동 시간, 그리고 아침자습 시간을 활용하였다.
본 프로그램을 적용한 결과 나타난 효과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 텔레비전 텍스트를 활용한 쓰기 전략은 4학년 학생의 쓰기 지도에 매우 효과적이었다. 주변에서 쉽게 접할 수 있는 많은 생생한 경험들은 내용 생성과 내용 조직 및 다양한 표현 면에 직접적인 영향을 주어 쓰기에 대한 흥미를 높이고 쓰기에 대한 자신감을 부여하였다.
둘째, 사회 구성주의적 쓰기 이론에 입각한 과정별 쓰기 방법은 단계별로 쓰기를 쉽게 할 수 있는 효과적인 학습 방법이다. 학생들이 쓰기에 대한 자율적인 쓰기 형식을 선택하여 친밀감을 형성하고 수준별 학습에 효과적이었다.
셋째, 학생들은 텔레비전 텍스트에 의해 잘 모르는 낱말을 국어사전을 통해, 상황의 앞뒤를 파악하여 뜻을 짐작할 수 있는 언어의 상황을 폭 넓게 경험할 수 있었다.
이 논의 결과에서 볼 때, 텔레비전 프로그램은 어린이들로 하여금 읽는 것에 대한 거부감이 없고 글쓰기를 쉽게 받아들일 수 있는 효과적인 제재였다. 글쓰기의 여러 유형 중에서 주장하는 글쓰기는 어려워하는 글쓰기이고, 친교의 글쓰기나 정서 표현의 글쓰기는 쉽게 적용할 수 있는 글쓰기 방법이라고 할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is to find ways to generalize the use of media in the primary Korean-writing-education. And the ultimate goal of this thesis is to develop the television text process and for the teachers to apply this process to develop the methods for writing through the TV programs, such as drama, news, and documentary.
In order to this, this study is based on the theory of hypertext and social constructionism to establish several strategies that can foster ability to write in the course of teaching and learning.
This study induces mass media to educational circumstances by applying television text practically, in teaching, for the forth-year students in the text-centered primary school scene to selecting subject matter that can be experienced and understood, albeit, a lot of realistic restrictions.
The process of this study is as follows:
First, we have developed directive writing programs by using television text, with surveying the theories and previous investigations involved in writing.
Second, we have reconstructed contents of television text by analyzing the Korean text book and teacher's guide for the 4th grade which is provided in the seventh course of education.
Third, we have taken advantage of writing time, discretion activity hours, and self-study time in the morning, which are given in education course, selecting some programs available for television text.
After applying this program, the effects which appears are as follows:
First, directive writing strategy utilizing television text is very effective in guidance for the forth grade student to write. A lot of vivid experiences nearby gave them pride and raise interests in writing, giving direct influence on creating contents formation and organizations and various expressions.
Second, course-by-course writing method based on social constructionism is very effective, which can make writing easy step by step and form closeness to writing by self-regulating for selecting writing level.
Third, students could experience extensively the surroundings of language that can guess the meaning of strange words through Korean dictionary with television text.
From this point of view, TV medium is a very effective material that enables primary students to accept with ease and reject, writing.
It can be said that arguing writing is considered a little difficult, but both the letter-type (private expression method) and emotion-type (emotional expression method) writings are easily applicable writing method of all types of writings.
