종교정향과 신앙성숙도가 비행과 친사회적 행동에 미치는 영향 : 기독교 신앙을 가진 고등학생을 대상으로 = The effect of the Religious Orientations and the Maturity Faith on Delinquency and Pro-social Behaviors: based in high school Christian students

This study, under the assumption that teenagers' the religious orientations and the maturity faith affect psychological Well-Being, delinquency and pro-social behavior, set up the following study themes to confirm it.
Study theme 1. What is the relation between teenager's type of religion and it's maturity?
Study theme 2. What is the relation between maturity of religion and psychological Well-Being
Study theme 3. What is the relation between teenager's religion types, delinquency and pro-social behaviors?
Study theme 4. What is the relation between religious maturity, delinquency and maturity of religion?
Study theme 5. What intermediary variable role does teenager's religious maturity play in the relation between the Religious Orientations, delinquency and pro-social behaviors?
In order to find out, I temporarily gathered 187 teenagers who attend church in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do Bundang and Gyeonggi-do Yongin. I carried out simple correlation, Multiple linear regression and rank regression between the variables and based on the results, it can be summarized as the following.
First, in order to find out the relation between the religious orientations and the maturity faith, I carried out simple correlation and Multiple linear regression. As a result, the religious orientations illustrated 74 percent of the maturity of religious belief. It came to a conclusion that there are much passive correlation between religious maturity and for intrinsic orientation, orthodoxㆍconservative piety, exclusive ㆍfaith-first piety, and rationalㆍexoteric piety and for extrinsic orientation, ethicalㆍ moral piety.
Second, as a result of carrying out correlation to find out the relation between religious maturity and psychological Well-Being, there seemed to be no correlation between positive emotion and positive relationship, and negative emotion. Therefore, I found that religion increases positiveness of teenagers and these positive emotions elevate pro-social attitudes.
Third, in consequence to carrying out simple correlation in order to find out the relation between teenagers' religious maturity, delinquency and negative relationship, the maturity faith had a negative relationship with delinquency and a positive relationship with pro-social attitudes. However, there were much higher correlation coefficients with pro-social behaviors then with delinquency. This showed that religion have more positive effect on increasing pro-social attitudes, which is more desirable, than with delinquency.
Forth, to find our teenage delinquency and pro-social behaviors according to the type of religion through Multiple linear regression correlation and Multiple linear regression, the religious orientations explained 8.9 percent of wrongdoing and 26 percent of pro-social minds. Additionally, misdeed had a similar positive relationship with wish-fulfillmentㆍdesire piety which is a extrinsic orientation. In contrast, pro-social attitudes showed a similar positive relationship with orthodoxㆍconservative piety, exclusiveㆍfaith-first piety, and rationalㆍexoteric piety and negative relationship with timeserving piety.
Last, delinquency. In order to examine closely how religious maturity and the religious orientations affect social behaviors, the difference between delinquency and pro-social attitudes according to how much mature one is in religion could be explained by the difference between delinquency and pro-social attitudes according to the religious orientations, which means the matureness of religion can be the intermediary variables of delinquency and pro-social acts in the Religious Orientations.
In a nutshell, it could be concluded that the more mature the religion, the less delinquency and the higher the pro-social attitudes. the Religious Orientations was a variable which affects the religious maturity. Among the religious orientations, the intrinsicness such causes as orthodoxㆍconservative piety, exclusive ㆍfaith-first piety, and rationalㆍexoteric piety and extrinsic factors of moralㆍethical piety determined the maturity of faith. In opposition, timeserving piety, undulating ㆍcraving piety had no meaningful effect.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 청소년의 종교정향과 신앙성숙도가 심리적 안녕감, 비행과 친사회적 행동에 영향을 줄 것이라는 가정 하에 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하여 이를 확인하고자 하였다.
연구문제 1. 청소년의 종교정향은 신앙성숙도와 어떤 관계가 있는가?
연구문제 2. 청소년의 신앙성숙도는 심리적 안녕감과 어떤 관계가 있는가?
연구문제 3. 청소년의 종교정향은 비행, 친사회적 행동과 어떤 관계가 있는가?
연구문제 4. 청소년의 신앙성숙도는 비행, 친사회적 행동과 어떤 관계가 있는가?
연구문제 5. 청소년의 신앙성숙도가 종교정향과 비행, 친사회적 행동과의 관계에서 매개변인의 역할을 하는가?
이를 위해 서울시, 경기도 분당, 경기도 용인에 소재한 교회에 출석하는 187명의 청소년을 임의로 표집하여 설문을 실시하여 종교정향, 신앙성숙도, 심리적 안녕감, 비행, 친사회적 행동을 측정하였다. 변인들 간의 상관분석, 중다회귀분석, 그리고 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였고 그 결과에 입각하여 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 종교정향과 신앙성숙도와 관계를 알아보기 위해 상관분석과 중다회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 종교정향이 신앙성숙도의 74% 설명해주었으며, 내인적 정향에서는 정통적ㆍ보수적 신앙, 배타적ㆍ신앙제일주의 신앙, 합리적ㆍ개방적 신앙이, 외인적 정향에서는 윤리적ㆍ도덕적 신앙이 신앙성숙과 높은 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 반대로 외인적 정향인 편의주의적 신앙은 신앙성숙과 부적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 신앙성숙도가 심리적 안녕감과 관계를 알아보기 위해 상관관계를 실시한 결과, 긍정적 정서와 정적상관을, 부정적 정서와는 상관관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 결국 신앙은 청소년들의 긍정적인 정서를 높이고, 이러한 긍정적인 정서는 친사회적 행동을 향상시킨다는 사실을 알 수 있다.
셋째, 청소년의 신앙성숙도와 비행, 친사회적 행동의 관계를 알아보기 위해 상관분석을 실시한 결과, 신앙성숙도는 비행과 부적상관을, 친사회적 행동과는 정적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났으나 비행보다는 친사회적 행동과의 상관계수가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이것은 신앙이 문제행동인 비행보다는 바람직한 행동인 친사회적 행동을 높이는 데 긍정적인 역할을 한다는 것을 알 수 있다.
넷째, 청소년의 종교정향에 따라 비행과 친사회적 행동이 어떻게 나타나는지를 알아보기 위해 상관분석과 중다회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 종교정향이 비행을 8.9% 설명하고, 친사회적 행동의 26% 설명하는 것으로 나타났고. 비행은 외인적 유형인 기복적ㆍ욕구적 신앙과 유의한 정적 상관이 있었다. 반면 친사회적 행동은 내인적 정향인 정통ㆍ보수적 신앙, 신앙제일주의 신앙, 합리적ㆍ개방적 신앙과는 유의한 정적 상관을 보였고 편의주의 신앙과는 부적 상관을 나타내었다.
다섯째, 비행, 친사회적 행동에 신앙성숙도와 종교정향이 어떤 영향이 미치는지를 규명하기 위해 중다회기분석과 위계적 회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 신앙성숙에 따른 비행과 친사회적 행동의 차이는 종교정향에 따른 비행과 친사회적 행동의 차이로 설명되는 것으로 신앙성숙이 종교정향에서의 비행, 친사회적 행동의 매개변인이 된다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
따라서 본 연구를 통해 신앙이 성숙할수록 비행은 줄어들고, 친사회적 행동은 높아진다는 것을 알 수 있었고, 종교정향은 이런 신앙성숙에 영향을 미치는 주요 변인으로 드러났다. 종교정향 중 내인적 요인인 정통적ㆍ보수적 신앙, 배타적ㆍ신앙제일주의적 신앙, 합리적ㆍ개방적 신앙과 외인적 요인인 도덕적ㆍ윤리적 신앙이 신앙성숙을 결정하는 것으로 나타났다. 반대로 외인적 요인인 편의주의적 신앙, 기복적ㆍ욕구적 신앙은 유의미한 관계가 없었다.
