유아 음악교육과 정서지능과의 관계

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한글초록: 본 연구의 목적은 교육 기관 및 사설기관에서 유아들이 음악교육을 경험하는 정도에 따라 유아의 정서지능에 차이가 있는지 알아보고자 하는데 있다. 위의 연구목적에 따라 다음과 같은 문제를 설정하였다. 1. 공교육에서의 유아 음악교육 경험과 정서지능과의 관계는 어떠한가? 1) 공교육에서의 유아 음악교육에 대한 교사의 인식은 어떠한가? 2) 공교육의 유아 음악교육과 정서지능과의 관계는 어떠한가? (1) 교사의 유아 음악교육의 중요성에 대한 인식과 정서지능과의 관계는 어떠한가? (2) 공교육에서의 유아 음악교육 수업의 종류와 정서지능과의 관계는 어떠한가? (3) 공교육에서의 유아 음악교육 수업시간 정도와 정서지능과의 관계는어떠한가? 2. 사교육에서의 유아 음악교육 경험과 정서지능과의 관계는 어떠한가? 1) 사교육에서의 유아 음악교육에 대한 부모의 인식은 어떠한가? 2) 사교육의 유아 음악교육과 정서지능과의 관계는 어떠한가? (1) 사교육에서의 부모의 유아 음악교육의 중요성에 대한 인식과 정서지능과의 관계는 어떠한가? (2) 사교육에서의 유아 음악교육 수업의 종류와 정서지능과의 관계는 어떠한가? (3) 사교육에서의 유아 음악교육 수업시간과 정서지능과의 관계는 어떠한가? 본 연구의 자료는 서울과 경기도 지역에 위치한 유치원, 유아원, 어린이집 등의 공교육기관과 3세, 4세, 5세 반에 재원하고 있는 유아 341명의 유아, 그리고 16명의 유치원 교사와 그 교사가 담당하는 유아의 부모를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 공교육에서의 유아 음악교육에 대한 교사의 인식과 사교육에서의 유아 음악교육에 대한 부모의 인식은 유아 음악교육의 중요성, 음악교육 수업의 종류, 음악교육 수업시간정도를 알아보고 이에 따른 유아의 정서지능과의 관계를 알아보았다. 유아의 정서지능 측정을 위해 Goleman(1995), Salovey와 Mayer(1990, 1996, 1997)의 이론에 근거하여 김경회(1998)가 제작한 ‘교사용 유아 정서지능 평정척도’를 사용하였다. 본 연구의 분석 방법은 공교육과 사교육에서의 교사와 부모의 인식과 현황을 살펴보기 위하여 빈도분석을 실시하였다. 유아 음악교육과 유아의 정서지능과의 관계를 알아보기 위하여 유아 정서지능 척도의 각 하위영역의 평균과 표준편차를 구하고, 일원변량분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공교육에서의 유아 음악교육과 정서지능과의 관계를 분석한 결과 정서지능 전체척도와 유아 음악교육은 유의한 차이를 나타냄이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러므로 공교육의 유아 음악교육은 정서지능과 관계가 있는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 둘째, 사교육에서의 유아 음악교육 경험과 정서지능과의 관계를 살펴본 결과 정서지능 전체척도와 유아 음악교육은 유의한 차이를 나타냄이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러므로 사교육의 유아 음악교육은 정서지능과 관계가 있는 것으로 판단되어 질 수 있다. 이러한 연구 결과로 보았을 때 유아들은 음악교육을 공교육과 사교육의 유아 음악교육을 많이 경험할수록 정서지능이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 그러므로 교사와 부모는 유아 음악교육의 중요성을 인식하고, 정서지능 향상에 직접적으로 도움을 줄 수 있는 요소를 파악하여 프로그램을 개발할 수 있도록 전문적인 교사 교육이 이루어져야 할 것으로 생각된다

영문초록:The purpose of this research to figure out if there is a difference in emotional intelligence among children who had a certain degree of musical education. For the purpose mentioned above some outlines have been established.1. What is the relationship between preschool music education experience and emotional intelligence in public education?1) What is the teacher's perception of preschool music education experience in public education?2) What is the relationship between public preschool music education and emotional intelligence?(1) What is the relationship between how much a teacher thinks preschool music education is important and emotional intelligence?(2) What is the relationship between the type of public preschool music education and emotional intelligence?(3) What is the relationship between the time period of public preschool music education and emotional intelligence?2. What is the relationship between preschool music education experience and emotional intelligence in private education?1) What is the parent's perception of preschool music education experience in private education?2) What is the relationship between private preschool music education and emotional intelligence?(1) What is the relationship between how much a parent thinks preschool music education is important and emotional intelligence?(2) What is the relationship between the type of private preschool music education and emotional intelligence?(3) What is the relationship between the time period of private preschool music education and emotional intelligence?The data in this research was taken by 341 children who are 3～5 years old and their mothers, and 16 teachers, whom all are affiliated to public institutions such as kindergartens and preschools in Seoul and Kyung-gi province area. The teacher's perception of preschool music education, the parent's perception of preschool music education, importance of music education, the time period of music education, the type of music education was inquired, and also emotional intelligence was inquired, then the relationship between the two groups were checked. To measure emotional intelligence, "Teacher's Manual of Emotional Intelligence Rating" by Kim Kyung-hee, a book based on the theory by Goleman(1995), Salovey and Mayer(1990, 1996, 1997).The results of this research are shown below.First, after analyzing the relationship between public preschool music education and emotional intelligence, there was as much development in emotional intelligence as music education was given. This shows that public music education and emotional intelligence has some kind of interrelation.Second, after analyzing the relationship between private preschool music education experience and emotional intelligence, there was as much development in emotional intelligence as music education was given. This shows that private music education and emotional intelligence has some kind of interrelation.In conclusion, it is manifest that public and private preschool music education does an important part in the development of emotional intelligence. So teachers and parents should be aware of the importance of preschool music education, and professional teachers should be brought up to find the key point in developing emotional intelligence and use it to develop new program
