연구개발기록물 관리체계분석 및 발전방안 연구 : K 연구소를 중심으로 = A Study on R&D Archives Management System Analysis and Development Program : Focusing on Research Institute K

R&D Archives which is produced from R&D activities and processes including research planning and support is a core records in scientific and technical information, for which systematical preservation and foundation for use is needed to be created.
In this study, a preceding study was conducted through literature review on domestic and foreign records management field, web searching, visiting and interviews, research institute K classed as other public institutions was targeted for drawing development program for analyses current management of R&D Archives.
The summary of this study is as follows:
First, analyses on legal and systematic loophole associated with performing records management in research institutes founded by a special law among other public institutions, since the enactment of 'Public Records Management Law', taking specialties of research institute K into consideration, continual consultation with dedicated management institutions is needed for reasonable legal applications, establishment of record management tasks.
Second, records being produced in the R&D activities were sorted out as document-centered preservation records, multimedia archives, research property records, and research facilities records and problems associated with records management were analyzed. R&D Archives are major national preservation records having technical competitive edges, must be preserved in the facilities prescribed in 'Public Records Management Law', stable preservation measures and utilization environment should be formed by building DB according to the degree of importance of records .
Third, the Digital Archives (DB) should be utilized by forming Records Management Portal System (RMPS) such as Records Center, multimedia archive management system, and integrated searching intra-and-extra institutional knowledge and information resources.
This study would be of help to other research institutions in science and technology field conducting records management tasks.
