The results of this study were as follows:
1. The mean depression score was 12.91(range 0-60), 36.5% women were suffer from mild or severe depression. The percentage of normal, moderate, severe depression were 63.5%, 25.7%, 10.8%.

6. 22.8% of middle-aged women's depression were explained by menopausal symptom(16.4%) and spousal support(6.4%).
7. Statistically significant difference were noted between middle-aged women's depression and education level(F=4.31, p=.061), education level of spouse(F=3.99, p=.021).
8. Statistically significant difference was noted between middle-aged women's spousal support and education level(F=10.43, p=.000), education level of spouse(F=6.77, p=.001), marital satisfaction(F=41.38, p=.000), hobby(F=4.40, p=.000), and menopausal state(F=4.36, p=.002).
From the above results, it suggests that the menopausal symptom and spousal support of middle-aged women are the major variables which affect the depression of middle-aged women.
