    Based on the results of semifinals of women teams (middle, high schools, universities, business teams) in the 61th 2006 Handball Championship, this study analyzes success and failure ratios of shoots per type and its influences on game performance by time and position with consideration for importance of successful shooting ratio in the performance, so that it is to closely examine decisive factors of winning or losing of handball games and to provide basic data for improvement of training methods and performance of the game. The conclusions of the research could be made as follows:
    First above all, a success ratio of shoots per distance in business teams shows a statistically significant difference (p<.001) between winners and losers in case analyzing effects of success ratios of shoots per distance according to the level of groups on the issue of games.
    Second, when analyzing influences of successful ratios of shoots per position according to the level of groups on winnings or losings of games, as a result D position has the greatest success ratio and frequency of shoots for both winners, 52.2% (134), and losers 48.2% (151), but the success ratio of shoots per position shows no statistic significance to the issue of games.
    Third, as a result of examining effects of success ratios of shoots per time according to the level of groups on final consequences, the shoot success ratio per time is shown to have no effects on the final consequence.
    Fourth, success ratios and frequency of shoots per direction are far higher in 1, 3, 4 and 6 directions than others, the success ratio per direction, however, does not have statistically significant differences to the victory or defeat of games in the case of analysis of effects of shoot success ratios per direction according to the level of groups on the issue of games.
    Fifth, when examining influences of shoot success ratios per type according to the level of groups on the winning or losing of games, the success ratio of shoots per type in university teams displays a statistic significance of differences for both losers and winners (p<.01).
    Sixth, in case analyzing effects of frequencies of shoots in middle, high schools, universities and business teams on the issue of games, losers show 45.8% (146) of shoot success ratio and 54.2% (173) of shoot failure ratio, and winners show 53.6% (179) of success ratio, 46.4% (155) of failure ratio in universities and business teams, so it says that the frequencies of shoots of winners and losers display a statistic difference to the winning or not of games (p<.05).
    Seventh, the logistic dualized regression is conducted to closely examine influences of shoot success ratios per distance on the victory or defeat of games and the statistically significant difference (p<.001) is appeared at a medium distance. The finding proves that when the success ratio of shoots in the medium distance increases by one unit, the probability of winning becomes 1.295 times increased as much as losing.
    Eighth, as a result of logistic dualized regression for in-depth analysis of effects of shoot success ratios per type on the issue of games, free throw shoots have a statistically significant difference (p<.05). The results say that if the success ratio of free throw shoots increases by one unit, the probability of losing becomes 0.651 times decreased as much as winning.
    The results of research provide the fact that free throw shoots have little effects on the final consequence of games in middle and high school teams, but in the case of university and business teams, the teams with high frequency of free throw shoots also have high probability of failure. It is, therefore, appropriate to have medium distance shoots, showing the highest relation with the issue of games, in case setting up types of shoots for winning of games. Above all, various training plans and tactics which could raise possibilities of successful shoots from all directions, focusing on the center position, should be ahead because the victory or not of games is decided according to the success or failure of shoots.
