운동선수의 성격과 성취목표성향 및 경쟁불안이 성패귀인에 미치는 영향 = (The)effect of athletes' personality, achievement goal orientation, and the competitive anxiety on types of attribution

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 고등학교 남녀 운동선수들이 운동종목별 일반 성격 특성과 성취목표 성향 및 경쟁불안 수준이 성패 귀인에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 체육고등학교 남녀 운동선수 283명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 SPSS를 이용하여 2-way ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient를 산출하였으며 Stepwise 방식의 Mulitiple Linear Regression을 실시하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.
1) 성격 특성이 귀인에 미치는 영향
남자선수의 종목별 실패귀인의 차이는 없었으나 여자선수는 팀웍 부족과 컨디션 난조는 대인종목 선수가 더 높았다. 그러나 성별 실패귀인의 차이는 없었다.
개인종목 선수의 성공귀인은 남자의 경우 동조성과 책임성이 여자의 경우는 우월성과 사회성의 영향력이 있으며, 대인종목 남자의 경우 남향성, 사려성, 동조성이 여자선수의 경우 사려성, 지배성, 사회성의 영향력이 있었다.
개인종목 실패귀인은 남자의 경우 우월성, 충동성, 사회성의 영향력이 있으나 여자선수의 경우 우월성, 동조성, 책임성, 안정성의 영향력이 있었으며, 대인종목 남자의 경우 우월성, 안정성, 충동성의 영향이 여자선수의 경우 지배성과 충동성의 영향이 있었다.
2) 성취목표성향과 경쟁불안수준이 귀인에 미치는 영향
개인종목 성공귀인은 남자의 경우 성취목표 성향의 영향이 경쟁상태 불안의 영향력 보다 높았으며 여자선수의 경우 경쟁상태 불안의 영향력이 성취목표 성향의 영향력 보다 높았다. 대인종목 남자와 여자 모두 성취목표 성향의 영향이 경쟁상태 불안의 영향력 보다 높았다.
개인종목 실패귀인은 남자와 여자 선수 모두 경쟁상태 불안과 성취목표 성향의 영향력이 비슷하였으며 특히 여자의 경우 상태 자신감의 영향력이 높았다. 대인종목 남자와 여자선수 모두 경쟁상태 불안과 성취목표 성향의 영향력이 비슷하였으며 남자선수의 인지적 불안의 영향력이 높았다.
3) 성격특성과 성취목표성향 및 경쟁불안 수준이 귀인에 미치는 영향
개인종목 성공귀인은 남자의 경우 일반 성격 특성에 의한 영향력이 거의 없었으나 여자 선수의 일반 성격 특성은 팀웍과 운 귀인에 대한 영향력이 있었다. 대인종목 남자의 경우 일반 성격 특성은 컨디션과 운 귀인에 대한 영향력이 있었으며, 여자선수의 경우 정신력과 지도력 귀인에 대하여 영향력이 있었다.
개인종목 실패귀인은 남자의 경우 일반 성격 특성은 컨디션 난조와 자만심에 대한 영향력이 있었으며 여자 선수의 경우 일반 성격 특성은 팀웍부족, 정신력 저하, 컨디션 난조, 심리적 부담 귀인에 모두 영향력이 있었으나 자만심 귀인만 일반 성격 특성과 성취목표성향 및 경쟁불안 수준에 대한 영향력이 없었다. 대인종목 남자의 경우 일반 성격 특성은 팀웍 부족, 컨디션 난조, 심리적 부담 귀인에 대한 영향력이 있었으며 여자선수의 경우 컨디션 난조와 자만심귀인에 대한 영향력이 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine how the general personality traits, achievement-goal orientation and competitive anxiety of high school boy and girl players affected their attribution of success and failure. The subjects in this study were 283 boy and girl players who attended athletic high school. After data were gathered from them, the collected data were analyzed with SPSS program. Two-way ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficient were utilized, and stepwise multiple linear regression analysis was conducted. The findings of the study were as follows:
1. The Influence of General Personality Traits on Attribution
The sporing events of the boy players made no differences to their attribution of failure, but among the girl players, the players of team sports were poor in teamwork, and they were in bad shape as well. But their gender made no differences to their attribution of failure.
Concerning the attribution of success among the players of individual sports, the boys' attribution of success was affected by their conformity and responsibility, and that of the girls was under the influence of their superiority and sociability. As for team sports, the masculinity, considerateness and confirmity of the boys exerted an influence on their attribution of success, and the considerateness, dominance and sociability of the girls had an impact on their attribution of success.
As to the attribution of failure among the players of individual sports, the superiority, impulsiveness and sociability of the boys affected their attribution of failure, and that of the girls was under the influence of their superiority, conformity, responsibility and safety. Among the players of team sports, the boys' attribution of failure was impacted by their superiority, safety and impulsiveness, and that of the girls was influenced by their dominance and impulsiveness.
2. The Impact of Achievement-Goal Orientation and Competitive Anxiety Level on Attribution
Regarding the attribution of success among the players of individual sports, the boys' attribution of success was more affected by their achievement-goal orientation than by their competitive state anxiety, and that of the girl players was more impacted by their competitive state anxiety than by their achievement-goal orientation. In the event of the players of team sports, both of the boys and girls were influenced by their achievement-goal orientation than by their competitive state anxiety.
As to the attribution of failure among the players of individual sports, the competitive state anxiety and achievement-goal orientation of the boys and girls had a similar impact on their attribution of failure. But the girls were more affected by their state confidence. In the case of the players of team sports, both of the boys and girls were under the similar influence of their competitive state anxiety and achievement-goal orientation, and the boy players were more impacted by their cognitive anxiety.
3. The Impact of General Personality Traits, Achievement-Goal Orientation and Competitive Anxiety Level on Attribution
As for the attribution of failure among the players of individual sports, the boys were little affected by their general personality traits, but the general personality traits of the girl players had an impact on their teamwork and attribution of luck. In the event of the players of team sports, the general personality traits of the boys exerted an influence on their physical condition and attribution of luck, and the general personality traits of the girls had an impact on their mental power and attribution of leadership.
Regarding the attribution of failure among the players of individual sports, the general personality traits of the boy players exercised an influence on their poor physical condition and self-conceit, and those of the girls influenced their inadequate teamwork, poor mental power, poor physical condition and attribution of psychological pressure, but their general personality traits, achievement-goal orientation and competitive anxiety level had no impact on their attribution of self-conceit. Among the players of team sports, the general personality traits of the boy players exerted an influence on their inadequate teamwork, poor physical condition and attribution of psychological pressure. Those of the girl players had an impact on their poor physical condition and attribution of self-conceit.
