The purpose of this study was to analyzed relationship of perceived self-competence, self-efficacy, and satisfaction in the College Dance Major female Student. For accomplishing this purpose of this study, the 240 subjects were selected by the multi-stratified cluster sampling method from the Seoul and Kyung-gi, in the years of 2006, presently. Out of the 240 questionnaires responded to, only 216 were used for data analysis because 24 were responded to incompletely or incorrectly.
The survey questionary were used to collect data. The questionnaires for Perceived-competence were based on Harter's Perceived Competence Scale: PCS, adapted in Korean and developed by Lee Meung-suk(1994). And The questionary for Self-efficacy were based on Self-efficacy scale by Bandura(1976) and developed by Shere, Maddux, Mercandante, Prentice-Dunn, Jacobs & Roger(1982). And The questionary for the satisfaction in the College Dance Major were based on Physical activity of adolescence research(1997). It was regulated by Bae so-sim(2003). This questionary was a 5 point Likert scale.
The statistical methods utilized in this study for analyzing the collected data were reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, analysis of covariance, hierarchical regression analysis and path analysis.
From the analysis of this study, the following conclusions were obtained:
First, The difference in the perceived self-competence, self-efficacy, and satisfaction in the College Dance Major female Student according to the grader and major showed a statistically significant difference.
Second, The perceived self-competence of female students on dance major was effected on general self-efficacy and social self-efficacy.
Third, The perceived self-competence of female students on dance major was effected on facility satisfaction, curriculum satisfaction, leader satisfaction.
Forth, The self-efficacy of female students on dance major was effected on facility satisfaction, curriculum satisfaction, leader satisfaction.
Finally, There was a relation of the perceived self-competence, self-efficacy, and satisfaction in the College female student on dance major.
