觀光호텔敎育訓練과 大學의 호텔 및 관광經營學科敎科의 聯關性 比較에 관한 硏究 : 現場敎育訓練의 重要性을 中心으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

비즈니스를 중심으로 운영되던 호텔이 사람들의 생활수준 향상으로 비즈니스로만 이용하는 것이 아니라 다양한 목적으로 호텔을 이용 하게 되면서 일반적인 문화생활의 한 부분으로 자리를 잡고 있다.
더욱이 유럽과 아시아 30여 개국 정상들이 참여한 ASEM과 전 세계인의 축제인 2002년 월드컵을 개최하는 등 국제적인 행사를 함에 있어 서비스 사업인 호텔산업의 비중은 더욱 중요해졌다.
호텔산업은 어느 산업보다 인적 자원에 의존하는 비중이 높고, 중요한 자산이기 때문에 우수한 인재의 확보와 숙련되고 훈련된 인재를 적재적소에 배치하고 관리하는 것이 호텔의 질적 수준을 높이고, 호텔의 성장과 발전에 중요한 요소가 된다. 이는 다시 말해 수준 높은 인적자원의 지속적이고 체계적인 관리와 교육은 호텔의 발전과 더불어 호텔 종사자들의 개인적인 발전에도 도움을 줄 뿐만 아니라 변화되고 있는 고객의 서비스 기대 수준에 부응할 수 있는 유일한 방법이다.
호텔의 교육훈련프로그램은 새로운 학술, 기술이나 지식의 습득을 통해 개인의 자가발전을 도모하고, 호텔 현업 종사원이라고 하면 호텔교육훈련프로그램을 통해 적극적인 근무태도를 다짐하고 긍정적인 사고와 서비스 마인드를 다질 수 있는 좋은 기회가 될 것이다.
현재 호텔에 종사하는 종사자들이 호텔 현업에 종사하기 전 관련 학교나 학과교과과정에서 호텔관련 교육프로그램이나 그와 유사한 내용을 미리 접 할 수 있다면 더욱 효율적일 수 있을 것이다.
누구나 교육의 중요성은 잘 알고 있으나 업계와 전공을 학습하는 대학의 교과과정이 얼마나 연관성이 있는가 하는 의문이 연구의 시발점이 되었고, 호텔에서 훈련을 통해 습득 할 수 있는 사항들을 교과 과정에 미리 학습을 함으로써 좀 더 전문적이고 준비 된 모습으로 종사할 수 있도록 교과과정의 개선을 제시하는데 도움이 되고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Hotel's first consideration was business. However, as life standard become higher, hotel has many kinds of purposes and it becomes one part of entertainment. Thus, hotel business offer many kinds of service and marketing.
Hotel business has higher expectation for human resources than others.
Human resource is very important property for hotel business. Thus, employment and positioning management is important consideration to improve hotel quality and quantity.
It is important to make plan and manage to offer service properly, but the result has come out when contact with guest. So hotel can be a people business.
Education program which provided by hotel business is make a direct effect to attitudes, mind of employees and hotel management
training program will support self development and become opportunity for employees to achieve better working attitude and open service minds.
This study will show about how relate university education and real business. Also, we will learn about how effect hotel study courses in university to hotel business. And this study will make employees work effectively by learning about the things which hotel requires to workers and what they can achieve by education program hotel and travel study course is consist with hotel management, travel management, food & beverage, hotel F&B management, hotel convention, travel resources, travel, and air service in university.
This study will analysis about process of hotel management course and research relation between hotel training programme and hotel management course in university by analysing consciousness of hotel training programme and study course. the target of research was 240 staffs who worked 3 to 5 years because most of them who worked more than 5 years can not remember what they study before.
Result was same as follow. 1st place of university course was hotel English/ English or Japanese/ Japanese communication. 2nd is sommelier / F&B practice/ cocktail practice and hotel travel service. 3rd is hotel business practice and management theory.
And 1st place of hotel training programme is language education, 2nd guest service education, 3rd department education, dealing complain, 5th service education/ global manner education.
According to research of Dittman(1997) which is done Cornel University emphasize importance of personal relation, financial analysis, and information technology. Like that, to make students, who will work as soon as graduate, know real hotel business, university should project and develop study course by borrowing hotel training programme (especially, personal relation training programme) to prepare work previously, they will become a specialized staff who hotel needs
