This study was to examine the effects of regular exercise on stress, coping strategy, and life satisfaction of old ages. The subjects were 340 old people over 60 years old. The subjects were divided to an exercise participation group and a not exercise participation group. The measures were Stress Symptoms Inventory, Coping Strategy Inventory, and Life Satisfaction Inventory. The researcher explained the purpose of this study and contents of the questionnaire, and asked subjects to answer the inventory. Data was analyzed using SPSS 12.0 Version. The level of significance was set up α=.05. One way ANOVA with repeated measures on time was performed to examine the effects of regular exercise on old ages. From the above procedures of analysis, the results were as follows.Firstly, regular physical exercise participation reduced stress level of old ages. Secondly, regular physical exercise participation reduced passive coping strategy level but increased active coping strategy level of old ages. Finally, regular physical exercise participation had positive effects on life satisfaction of old ages.
