장애인의 여가활동과 삶의 질에 관한 연구-지체부자유학생을 중심으로- : 지체부자유학생을 중심으로 = Leisure Activities and Quality of Life of the Disabled- Focused on Physically Disabled Students -

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학에 재학 중인 지체부자유학생 대상으로 지체부자유 학생의 여가활동 실태, 여가활동에 대한 만족도, 정보화 경향에 대해 알아보고 그 결과를 중심으로 지체부자유학생의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 여가활동 활성화 방안을 위한 자료를 마련하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 여가활동의 실태를 밝히기 위해서 먼저 지체부자유 학생들의 여가활동을 하는 장소는 학교가 가장 높게 나타났고, 여가활동 시 주로 함께 하는 사람은 친분이 있는 사람과 한다는 비율이 높게 나타났고 혼자 한다는 비율도 비교적 높은 응답률을 보인 반면 가족과 함께 한다는 응답분포는 낮은 비율을 보여 친분이 있는 사람과 함께 하거나 혼자 여가활동을 즐기지만 가족과 함께 하는 정도는 적은 것을 볼 수 있다.
둘째, 여가 활동 실태를 분석한 내용을 보면, 평일이나 공휴일의 여가시간에 주로 하는 여가활동의 항목은 TV 및 라디오 등 대중매체를 이용 하다는 가장 높게 나타났고 인터넷 등의 컴퓨터를 이용한다는 비교적 높은 비율을 보여 평일이나 공휴일 등의 여가시간에 대중매체나 컴퓨터를 이용하는 것을 볼 수 있다.
셋째, 정보화 경향에 대해서는 인터넷 정보이용 및 인터넷구매, 인터넷 공공기관 및 인터넷 뱅킹과 인터넷 가상교육 등을 하는 경향이 높은 것으로 나타나 지체부자유 학생의 인터넷 자립정도가 상당히 높은 수준인 것으로 파악되었으며 특히 인터넷 구매를 많이 하고 인터넷 뱅킹 역시 이용률이 높은 것으로 나타났다.
넷째, 장애인은 비장애인과 같이 인터넷동호회 활동도 많이 하는 것으로 파악되었다. 대부분의 장애학생들이 인터넷을 통해 동호회활동을 하고 있는데, 여기에는 다음카페, 세이클럽, 싸이 월드 등을 비롯한 많은 인터넷 동호회에 가입하여 활동하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
다섯째, 삶의 질과 여가생활과의 관계의 형태를 살펴보면, 학교생활, 친구관계, 여가생활, 소비생활 등이 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 사회계층, 가족생활, 이성생활, 자립생활 등은 삶의 질과 유의미한 관계를 가지지 않는 것으로 나타났다.
마지막으로 삶의 질과 여가생활과의 관계의 결과를 살펴보면, 지체부자유학생들의 삶의 질에 가장 영향을 미치는 영역은 여가생활이며, 그 다음이 학교생활과 친구관계인데 이들 변인에 대한 만족도가 높을수록 삶의 질을 높은 것으로 나타났다.
이와 같은 연구결과들을 종합하여 지체부자유 학생들의 여가활동의 만족감을 높이기 위한 방안을 제시하면, 첫째, 지체부자유 학생이 좀 더 다양하고 유용하게 시간을 보낼 수 있는 여가활동이 활발하게 이루어 질 수 있도록 충분한 여가활동에 대한 교육이 필요하다. 둘째, 장애학생에 대한 바른 이해를 돕기 위해서 일반학생과 장애학생이 함께 참여할 수 있는 프로그램 개발과 사회단체의 지원이 있어야 할 것이다. 셋째, 장애학생들이 가장 시간을 많이 보내는 학교에 시설을 보완 할 수 있도록 국가에서는 전적인 재정지원과 행정적인 지원을 해야 한다. 넷째, 장애인들에 대한 컴퓨터 정보화 교육의 강화가 요구되어야 한다. 다섯째, 인터넷 정보화 이용이 장애인의 사회참여를 증진시키기 위해서는 장애인이 함께 할 수 있는 사회참여 프로그램의 개발이 시급하다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the present study is to identity the leisure activities of disabled university students, the trend of using cyber space of internet in connection with leisure activities, and their satisfaction with leisure activities on quality of life. Applying descriptive and multiple regression statistics, this study found the following results.
First, as for the current state of disabled students？ leisure activities, the most common place for disabled students？ leisure activities was their school. Forty-four percent of the students had leisure activities with their acquaintances, and a relatively high percentage of them (36%) had leisure activities all alone. About 20% of the respondents joined various clubs or had activities with their families.
Second, as for the contents of leisure activities at spare time on weekdays or holidays, mass media such as television and radio were used most commonly and, next, computers connected with the internet. This suggests that disabled students usually use mass media or computers during their leisure time on weekdays or holidays.
Third, with regard to the trend of using cyber space of internet, many of the disabled students were using the internet information service for their leisure activities, cyber marketing, public services, banking, cyber education system, and for internet club activities. This results indicate that the disabled are highly depend on internet, and particularly they appear to use internet shopping and internet banking frequently.
Fourth, many of the disabled were found to participate in internet club activities with non-disabled people. A large number of people with disabilities are involved on club activities using internet services, such as Daum Caf？, Say Club, and Cyworld.
Fifth, the results of regression analysis on the satisfaction with leisure activities indicated that the importance of leisure activities, degree of independence on information system, disabled problem of leisure activities were significant, but leisure activities time and expenses were not significant.
Lastly, according to the result of analyzing the relation between quality of life and satisfaction with leisure activities, the variable that has the most significant effect on disabled students？ life quality was their leisure life. In addition, life quality was higher when satisfaction with school life was high and when satisfaction with friend relation was high.
Based on the results presented, the following suggestions are made for enhancing disabled students？ satisfaction with leisure activities. First, sufficient education for leisure activities is necessary for disabled students to have more active, diverse and useful leisure activities. Second, to help ordinary people understand disabled students properly, there should be programs that ordinary and disabled students participate together and supports from social institutions. Third, the government should provide financial and administrative full supports to improve facilities in school where disabled students spend most of their time. Fourth, computer and information education using cyber space of internet should be strengthened for the disabled. Fifth, for the disabled to participate in the community through their use of the internet, there should be social programs that involve the disabled.
