초등학교 교사의 ADHD에 대한 인식 및 지도 실태 = A Study on Guide Conditions and Dealing Devices of the Elementary School Teachers toward the Children with ADHD

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine how much the elementary school teachers were aware of ADHD, how teachers educate the children with ADHD and react the situation to improve their understanding toward the children with ADHD and to find out the method to educate in effect on the spot.
The research questions were posed as follows:
First, the research was to examine the awareness of the elementary school teachers about ADHD.
Second, the research was to examine the dealing devices of the elementary school teachers toward the children with ADHD.
Third, the research was to examine the teaching methods of the elementary school teachers toward the children with ADHD.
Fourth, the research was to examine the difficulties of the elementary school teachers for teaching the children with ADHD and backups for teachers.
In this study, 150 subjects were interviewed and the subjects were teachers who working at 8 various school in Gumi. The data were collected and analyzed by SPSS program.
The findings of this study were as follows:
First, the elementary school teachers investigated had a good knowledge on ADHD. However the knowledge of the dealing method was not very high. The teachers think the ADHD causes by children's environment and the attitude of their parents about education rather than genetic reason. Therefore the research shows teachers should have correct understanding about ADHD and provide the appropriate educational information to the children with ADHD.
Second, To examine about the dealing devices of ADHD regarding individual difference, the teachers who has higher academic background and career deal with the children with ADHD very well with effect. Therefore the elementary school teachers need to get lots of chance for training about ADHD.
Third, To examine about the teaching method of ADHD, the teachers who has higher academic background and awareness uses the teaching manual and corrects their procedure of education.
Finally, That is the most difficult part for teachers that the children with ADHD interfere with the whole class. As a result of too many students in a class, teachers can't take care of individual student. Therefore the assistances are very needed. The training and supports are also very needed to provide various and technical informations.
The above-mentioned findings suggested that the system to support the teachers such as assistances, extension of training chance for providing dealing method and proper awareness, must be required to educate the children with ADHD more successfully.
