건축에서 나타난 'fold'기법의 조형적 특성을 활용한 의상디자인 연구 = Study of fashion desigh utilizing modeling feature of 'fold' technique in architecture

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 현대사회가 요구하는 차별화 된 사고의 전환으로 인해서 의상 디자인의 다양한 조형적 형태미에 대한 새로운 탐구심으로 비롯되어 현대 건축에서 보여진 'fold'기법과 의상 디자인의 접목성에 대한 시도에 대한 연구를 시작하게 되었다. 먼저 'fold' 개념을 도입한 건축의 개념과 특성에 대해 알아보며, 'fold' 건축의 조형적 형태미를 구현하는 방법이 어떻게 나타나는지에 대한 연구로 진행해 나갔다. 그리고 이미 발표된 의상디자인에서 'fold' 성향이 나타난 의상 작품을 분석해 봄으로써 의상 디자인의 'fold'기법의 활용성에 대한 가능성을 제시향으로의 전환을 요구하고 있다.
건축에서 나타난 'fold' 기법의 사용의 활용성을 연구하는데 의상디자인에서도 'fold'라고 규정지어진 디자이너의 작품은 없었다. 하지만 form을 구현하는데 있어서 'fold'기법을 사용한 사례로 선정할 만한 디자이너 Issey Miyake와 Maria Blaisse의 작품과 작품세계를 분석하면서 'fold'기법의 디자인 발상을 가능하게 하였다. 그리고 'fold' 건축에서 보여 진 오리가미 기법 또한 의상 디자인의 조형성을 표현하는 'fold' 기법의 한 방법으로 연구 할 수 있었다.
형태를 패션디자인에 새로운 형태를 제시 할 수 있는 조형 요소로서의 가능성을 알아 볼 수 있었다.
'fold' 기법에서 나타나는 유동성, 연속성, 내부와 외부의 자연스러운 연결 등이 주는 효과를 의상디자인의 디자인 발상과 표현법에 활용하여 발전 할 수 있기를 기대한다. 그리고 의상디자인에서의 건축적 접근으로 인하여 현대적인 조형미의 새로운 움직임을 포착할 수 있는 혁신성을 가질 수 있는 한 방법이 될 것이라고 사료된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study started from the new spirit of inquiry in fashion design for various modeling beauty of fashion design thanks to conversion of differentiated thinking that current society requires and study of effort in connecting 'fold' technique in current architecture and fashion design. First, concept and features of 'fold' technique architecture will be introduced and study in method of modeling beauty figures in 'fold' architecture will be followed. Lastly, it could be analyzed as a case to suggest the possibility to utilize 'fold' technique of fashion design by analyzing fashion design in which 'fold' tendency is expressed among fashion designs previously presented. The objective of this study is to propose a method to utilize modeling features of 'fold' technique from architecture to fashion design with the tendency of this study.
The objective of 'Fold' concept of Gilles Deleuze and 'fold' architectural technique that is originated from topology is not limited to conversion of traditional architectural figure. In order to induce fluid flow and natural movement, tendency to transfer from the architectural design technique to 'fold' concept is required.
During study of utilizing 'fold' technique expressed in architecture, there were no designer pieces named after 'fold'. But analyzing works and the worlds of works of designers, Issey Miyake and Maria Blaisse that can be selected to be cases that used 'fold' technique in presenting form, it enabled 'fold' technique design. Also Origami technique in 'fold' architecture can be studied as a method of 'fold' technique that expresses modeling of fashion design.
Referring to 'fold' architecture concept and feature, figure creation method that were previously studied, the possibility of modeling factor of new type of fashion design in figures of architecture could be found.
It is expected to be developed by utilizing the effects from liquidity, continuity and natural connection of the interior and the exterior in 'fold' technique to design concept and expressions. In addition, it is believed to be one method that can has innovation to capture new movement of modern modeling beauty thanks to the architectural approach in fashion design.
