This study has been performed to analyze general perception, attitudes, and knowledge of the elderly among the medical doctors and nurses working in Seo-San city area hospitals. In this study, 50 doctors and 101 nurses were interviewed about their socio-economic status, working environment, perception, knowledge, and attitudes on the elderly. It was observed that nurses perceive the elderly positively in general, which is somewhat contrasting to negative view of those among doctors, whereas the doctors have higher level of objective knowledge. And it was observed that medical workers perceive the elderly so positive as lovely, neat, intelligent, lenient, clean, and gratuitous for social supports in general. Moreover, it is also proposed that female of volunteer experience or taking lecture about the gerontology have higher level of positive attitudes. Overall in this study, it is proposed that education for evaluating the image be intensified more onto medical workers who lack chances for contacting elderly patients. Moreover, suggestions are made as follows: first, guiding and settlement programs should be developed for the newly started young married workers, particularly at early stage of their career. Second, Third, medical workers such as physical therapists and nurses should be further monitored for main reasons of increasing their stress.
