아파트 거주자의 라이프스타일에 따른 가사작업공간 사용행태와 의식 = Behavioral patterns and perception in the kitchen and utility space according to apartment residents' lifestyle

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to identify the living characteristics of apartment resident having a diversity of lifestyles by relating it to the behavioral patterns and perception of the kitchen and utility space and present the basic material necessary for planning the future desirable apartment the kitchen and utility space, namely the kitchen and utility space considering the aspect of the resident's use.
For this purpose, the questionnaire research was conducted for housewives resident in the apartment with the exclusive-use area of more than 20 pyong over the period from Aug 13, 2003 to Aug 23. As a result, 580(77%), a total of 750 returned questionnaires were used as data for analysis.
The statistical methods used to for data analysis are frequency, percentage, mean, t-test, One-way ANOVA, Duncan's Multiple Range test, Factor analysis, Pearson Correlation, Stepwise Regression analysis, using the SPSS Win Program 10.0.
The findings were summarized as follows:
First, the lifestyle type of apartment residents was categorized into 'type of compliance with the family-peace tradition', 'type of information pursuit', 'type of personality pursuit', 'type contemporary convenience pursuit'. and their perception of the kitchen and utility space was classified into 'utility function orientation', 'multi-function orientation common to the family' and 'installation orientation'.
Based on the findings, the following conclusion were drawn:
An attempt was made to present the plan for the kitchen and utility space by lifestyle type as follows:
The 'type of compliance with the family-peace tradition' is the one that pursues the traditional mode while seeking for the peace of the family and therefore needs to be provided with household appliances or installations.
The 'type of information pursuit' is the one that the young people frequent engage in home shopping, home banking and the like, and since it is thought that it has the higher frequency of computer use than the other types, it should be provided with space to be equipped with the computer within kitchen and utility space.
The 'type of personality pursuit' is the one for young people that have the high level of economic income and are sensitive to fashion. Therefore, seeing that they have the high level of preference for the layout of new LDK plane form or Irish work platform, not the kitchen and utility space of uniform plane, it is necessary to plan kitchen and utility space with this under consideration.
The 'type of contemporary convenience pursuit' is the one for young people who has the high economic level and the diversity of life and prefer the western life. It would be necessary to install the built-in products while considering the new LDK having the linkage between the living room and the kitchen for family peace along with the installation of housework-saving systematized household appliances to enjoy leisure time.
