This study was conducted to analyze leadership types of wrestling coaches on achievement goal and achievement expectation of wrestlers.
A cross-sectional design was used to interview a stratified sample of 127 wrestlers with use of a standardized questionnaire.
ANOVA and multiple correlation analysis were used as statistical techniques in this study.
The manor findings of the study were as follows: Training and order type and depotic teaching type was higher in the coaches yith less than 5 year career than the other career groups. The less career years, the more Training and order type and despotic teaching type. Democratic teaching was higher in players who had won a prize than in players who had won a prize in completions. In achievement goal, intention to a task was higher in longer career players and in elite players who had won a prize. Intention to self esteem was higher in more educated players.
Capability for cognitive activities was higher in elite players who had won a prize.
Training and order type was significantly related to intention to a task.
Despotic teaching, social support and positive feedback were significantly related to intention to self-esteem.
