진로탐색 집단상담 프로그램이 중학교 학생들의 진로성숙에 미치는 효과 = (The) Effects of the Career Search Group Counseling Program on the Career Maturity of the Middle School Students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 중학생들에게 진로탐색 집단상담 프로그램을 적용함으로써 학생들 스스로가 자신의 적성, 성격, 흥미, 가치관, 지능, 신체적 조건, 가정환경 등 자신의 특성을 바르게 이해하고 직업의 특성을 탐색할 수 있는 기회를 제공하여 자신에게 가장 알맞은 진로를 선택할 수 있도록 도와주며, 아울러 이러한 집단 상담활동이 중학생들의 진로성숙도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 그 효과를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 해결하기 위한 본 연구의 목적은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 진로탐색 집단상담 프로그램이 진로성숙에 어떤 영향을 미치는가?
둘째, 진로탐색 집단상담 프로그램의 효과는 학업 성취도에 의해 어떤 영향을 받는가?
본 연구문제를 해결하기 위해 연구 대상자를 본 연구자가 근무하는 전라남도 해남군 면소재지 중학교 2, 3학년을 대상으로 구성하였다. 전체 32명의 학생을 대상으로 실험집단과 통제집단 학생 각각 16명을 배치하였다. 본 연구에 참여한 연구대상은 남학생 16명, 여학생 16명, 2학년 16명, 3학년 16명으로 구성되어 있다. 실험집단은 주1회 내지 2회 편안한 분위기를 조성할 수 있는 학교 상담실에서 실시하였으며, 통제집단의 경우에는 어떠한 조치도 취하지 않고 사전 사후 검사에만 참여하게 하였다.
본 연구에 사용된 측정도구는 한국교육개발원(1992)에서 개발한 ‘진로성숙도검사’를 사용하였다.
자료처리를 위한 통계분석은 Windows용 SPSS Ver 12.0 Program Package를 이용하여 처리하였으며, 실험집단과 통제집단 간의 사전검사에서 동질성 검증을 하기 위해 t 검증(t- test)을 하였고, 사후검사에서는 프로그램 실시에 따른 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향 및 성취도와의 상호작용 효과를 알아보기 위해 이원 변량 분석을 하였다. 모든 연구문제의 통계치는 유의수준 .05이하에서 검증하였다.
본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 진로탐색 집단상담 프로그램은 실험집단의 진로성숙도를 높이는데 효과적이었다.
둘째, 진로성숙도에 있어서 진로탐색 집단 상담 프로그램의 효과는 능력영역의 의사결정에서 학업 성취도에 의해 영향을 받은 것으로 나타났으나 다른 영역에서는 영향이 없는 것으로 나타났다.
학업 성취도와의 상호작용 효과는 일부분에서만 나타났지만 진로탐색 집단 상담 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단이 실시하지 않은 통제집단에 비해 진로성숙도의 대부분 영역에서 통계적 유의미한 차이를 보였고, 통계적으로 유의미한 변화를 보이지 않은 영역에서도 실험집단이 통제집단에 비해 어느 정도 향상을 보이고 있어 진로탐색 집단상담 프로그램이 학생들의 진로성숙도에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다고 볼 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The goal of this study is to help students understand straightforwardly their characteristics such as aptitude, personality, interest, personal value, intelligence, physical condition, and family circumstances and give them opportunity to explore the characteristics of their jobs through Career Search Group Counselling, help students choose jobs suitable for them, and also verify the effect of Group Counselling on their career maturity. The goals of this study to reach this object are as follows.
First, how does Career Search Group Counselling Program have an effect on their career maturity?
Second, How is the effect of Career Search Group Counselling Program effected by school records?
For this study, I sampled 32 students as a study object who are 2nd and 3rd grade students of the middle school, which I work for, located in the place where the small county(myeon) office is, Haenam-gun, Jeollanamdo. I divided the total 32 students into the experimental group and the controlled one, each 16 students. This study object consisted of 16 boys and 16 girls (2nd grade and 3rd grade students, each 16 ). The experimental group participated in Career Search Group Counselling, which happened in the counselling office of the school, once or twice a week in the comfortable atmosphere, while the controlled group participated in pre or post test of the study without any proper management.
The measuring instrument used in this study was 'Career Maturity Scale' test created by Korean Educational Development Institute(KEDI) in 1992. The mean(M) and the standard deviation(SD) of the data were gained by using SPSS Ver.12.0 program for Windows in the statistical data analysis. The data were analyzed by using t-test before the test and two-way ANOVA was used to see the effects of the mutual interaction and their career maturity according to the experimental group participated in the Career Exploration Group Counselling after the test. All statistical values were verified below the significant level of .05
The results of this study are as follows.
First, the experimental group participated in the Career Exploration Group Counselling was effected to raise the career maturity of the experimental group.
Second, it showed that the effect of Career Search Group Counselling Program was effected in the ability field of their decision-making by school records, but there was no effect in other parts.
Although the effect of the mutual interaction with school records appeared in a part, the group involved in the Career Search Group Counselling showed significant differences in most parts of the Career Maturity Scale, compared to the controlled group not involved in the Career Search Group Counselling. As the experimental group showed somewhat improvement in the field showing no significant difference statistically, can be said that the Career Search Group Counselling has an affirmative effect on the Career Maturity of students.
