This study was to conducted to apply Quinn's Competing Values leadership Paradigm which define leadership dynamically and holistically to the sport field, and to compare them with the role of the Taekwondo coaches, and to analyzed leader roles dependency, and to relationships between the six roles of the coaches and coaches satisfaction of players.
The subjects were 150 Taekwondo palyers and explain the purpose of this study and contents of the questionnaire, and ask players to answer the questionnaire. The measures were CVLQS(Competing Values Leadership for Scale) developed by Ha Hyung-ju(1996) and LBDQ(Leader Behavior Description Questionnaire) by Lee(1998). The roles dependency of the each team's coaches was analyzed through one-way ANOVA with repeated measures and paired t test. Also, relationships between the six roles of the coaches and coaches satisfaction of players was analyzed through multiple regression analysis. Data was analyzed through SPSS 12.0 Version and AMOS 5.0. The level of significance was set up α=.05. From the upper the procedure, the results were made as follow.
Firstly, Taekwondo coaches have used more mediating broker role, calculating executioner role, and authoritative instructor role and have used less innovative researcher role and analytic manager role.
Secondly, in regard with multiple regression analysis on relationships between the six roles of the coaches and coaches satisfaction of players, role of the managers' leadership, innovative researcher role, analytic manager role, and mentor role had positive effect on coaches satisfaction of players.
