The present study investigates how adolescents personal factors affect the continuity of volunteer activity, how family background affects the continuity of volunteer action, how school setting affects the continuity of volunteer activity, how setting of the volunteer activity affects the continuance of the volunteer activity.
The data collected in the present study are performed statistical analysis used SPSS WIN (Ver 11.0) and performed T verification and chi-square one to analyze the difference between the background factors and continuity of volunteer activity.
To begin with, in order to verify the factors affecting the volunteers' duration, as found in this study, a cross-analysis method was used with the following results.
First, the students' gender factor and school record was shown as a significant difference as a result of verifying social support of volunteer activity, while the living level following home background produced distinctive results.
In other words, the students in middle-class produced highly big results relatively in a social support.
As a result of examining the duration and joining frequency according to the individual background, only a grade (a school year) was a significant factor.
On the other hand, the feasibility having longer period of volunteer work about adolescent individual background has big significance in gender, school record and volunteer activity experience or not.
This contents; duration, joining frequency and feasible or not was significant factors in volunteer activity experience with family in common.
Second, after the hypothesis is verified that would affect according to the adolescent trait, home, school and volunteer activity experience in its continuous will and durable period, the conclusion through the cross-analysis between various background factors reached as follows.
As a result of verification the factors affecting continuous will of the volunteer activity was shown that females are higher than males, the students in rural region higher than those in city, and good grade students had higher duration in volunteer activity than bad grade students.
The durative will as a factor in home and school has become higher factors when they had experience in volunteer activity.
In setting factors, the more previous education they have, the more they feel about the help of volunteer activity, they came to have longer period of volunteer work.
The durative period as a family factor had nothing to do with the family support and participation in volunteer activity, while training in volunteers' previous education and in service education as school and setting factors showed significant relationship with the duration.
They had the highest degree of duration.
The results of this study suggest alternatives, as ones below;
1. The opportunity changing recognition about volunteer activity and the effort accompanied experience such as social responsible performance is required with the plan about the whole families' volunteer activity.
2. Volunteer activity isn't to achieve only in a certain class but the whole social members with family cooperative cultural awareness by providing a model of volunteers with their children will make them have the family cooperative cultural awareness and also them take part in various programs in a variety of sections.
3. Setting arranges professional personnel able to do previous education and discussion after this about volunteers.
In order to achieve both assistance and understanding about volunteers as well as proper reward and encouragement it is required to fortify development and training of management programs.
Finally, recognition change about teachers and education must be achieved from school scene thoroughly so that adolescent volunteer activities is fixed as this main object pursues.
In addition, volunteer activities are necessary for adolescents themselves to have responsibility as social members rather than means for college entrance.
