The main objective of this study is to figure out an aspect affected by the perceived risks on both Korean and Japanese tourists' lifestyle that the spending habituation isn't being changed into a fundamental and standardized pattern but a rational and reasonable one at the age of the public consumption.
In order to prepare for theoric bases, a questionnaire inquisition is initiated by gearing toward each 320 Korean and Japanese after viewing through all the literatures related to the perceived risks; the former that is living in Daegu and Kyungbuk Province over the age of 20, and the latter that bought traveling packages by using the 2 airports, Incheon and Kimpo. Among them, the questionnaire with validity had been already analyzed through the 303 Koreans and 309 Japaneses.
The statistics techniques in terms of the questionnaire analysis are enforced such as Pearson's Product Moment Correlation Coefficient, Stepwise's Multiple Regression Analysis, X2 Analysis, T-Test and One Way-ANOVA, and Reliability Analysis, Pro- priety Analysis for Factor Analysis.
The summary of the study consequence above is as follows.
First of all, if we take a look at a degree how the perceived risks affected to Korean's lifestyle when purchasing traveling packages, as for Korean, social value, cultural life, food, clothing, and shelter issue, utilization of the mass media and spending money are placed in order and in sequence of cultural life, clothes, consuming money, social value, use of the mass media and housing for Japanese.
Second, Korean's most important traveling activities are focused on the natural environmental tourism, historical cultural tourism, folk customs' event, leisure tourism, relaxation health-care tourism, educational field tourism, dainty food tourism are presented in series when they have to choose traveling packages.
The length of their traveling period is preferably selected, 2 days and 1 night, 3 days and 2 nights and 4 days and 3 nights as a result of 5 day working system.
As far as traveling companions are concerned, the highest rate of the response to what kind of group and how many people they go traveling with was being alone or with their family members or friends.
As for Japanese, the actual traveling realities is in sequence of dainty food tourism and leisure tourism, and the traveling duration is preferred to have 3 days and 2 nights, 4 days and 3 nights. As having companions during the traveling, they'd like go by being alone or with their family members or friends.
Third, looking through the differences about the perceived risks according to nationalities when purchasing traveling packages, Korean's average level shows more statistical conceptual relation than Japanese's average one in the area of functional risk, psycho-social risk, physical risk and time risk.
As the dissimilar perceived risks are examined when purchasing traveling packages in accordance with Korean consumer criteria, functional risk and time risk are statistically presented meaningfully incompatibly concerning the unlike age. As for Japanese, significant contrast is found in functional risk financial risk, physical risk and time risk. In the sphere of functional risk financial risk, physical risk and time risk, job differences are statistically shown importantly.
