학교 주변의 생태관찰 체험학습이 초등학생의 환경에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향 = Effects Ecological Observation Experience Learning Activity near the school on the Elementary students' Environmental Attitude

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구에서는 초등학교 주변의 들과 숲에서 수행할 수 있는 생태관찰 체험학습 프로그램을 개발하고, 이를 적용한 학습 활동이 초등학생들의 환경에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다.
연구에 참여한 학생은 초등학교 5학년 학생 64명으로 실험반은 생태관찰 체험학습 프로그램을 적용하였고, 비교반은 실험반과 같은 내용을 설명식 수업으로 지도한 후, 환경에 대한 태도를 검사하였다.
본 연구에서 나타난 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 본 연구에서 개발한 생태관찰 체험학습 프로그램은 '식물과 친구하기', '나무 관찰' 및 '숲과 친구하기' 영역으로 구분되며, 학생들이 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 학교 주변의 들과 숲에서 풀과 나무의 생태에 대한 관찰 활동과 숲에서의 체험활동을 중심으로 총 13차시로 구성하였다.
둘째, 학교 주변의 생태관찰 체험학습 후 일반 환경 문제, 환경오염, 식물보호 영역에 대한 초등학생들의 환경 태도가 유의하게 향상되는 것으로 나타났으며, 수자원, 재활용 영역에 대한 환경 태도는 유의한 효과가 없었다.
셋째, 학교 주변의 생태관찰 체험학습 프로그램 적용 후 초등학생들의 환경보전에 대한 의지와 정서 영역의 환경 태도는 유의하게 향상되는 것으로 나타났으나 환경보전에 대한 실천 영덕의 태도는 유의한 효과가 없었다.
넷째, 학교 주변의 생태관찰 체험학습 프로그램 적용 후 성별에 따른 환경태도를 비교한 결과 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다.
이 연구의 결과로 볼 때, 학교 주변의 생태관찰 체험학습은 초등학생들의 환경에 대한 태도를 유의하계 향상시킬 수 있다. 따라서 전국 각 지역에서 보다 효과적인 환경교육을 실시하기 위해서는 학생들이 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 거주 지역의 환경 내에서 직접 체험할 수 있는 다양한 형태의 환경체험학습 프로그램을 개발하고 활동을 실시하는 것이 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to develop an ecological observation experience learning program, which could be available at fields or forests near the elementary school, and to investigate the change of elementary students' environmental attitude.
The subjects in this study were 64 fifth graders of elementary school. An experimental group received education by using an ecological observation experience learning program prepared in this study, and a control group took expository lessons. Both groups learned about the same things in a different way, and then their environmental attitude was measured.
The results of this study were as follows:
First, the ecological observation experience learning program included three segments: making friends with plants, tree observing and making friends with forests. The 13-session program provided opportunities for the students to observe the ecology of grass and trees at accessible fields or forests near the school, and they could be involved in experiential activities at forests as well.
Second, at the themes of environmental attitude, experimental group showed a significant improvement in the themes of the environmental pollution, general environmental problem and the conservation of plants than control group, but no significant change in the water resources and recycling materials.
Third, at the attitudes of environmental conservation, experimental group showed a significant improvement in their will and emotion of environmental conservation, but no significant progress in practice environmental conservation.
Fourth, the effects of experience learning activities to the gender, there was no significant difference.
According to the results above, ecological observation experience learning activities is enhanced the environmental attitudes positively and it is necessary to develope a various environmental experience programs adequate for regional environment.
