These days, as the importance of brand has been emphasized and because of rapid increase of the Internet users and development of information technology, incorporated desires to share attentions to and experiences of each brand by members of on-line community using computers as a medium generated on-line brand community. Therefore, enterprises could promote contact with customers through the Internet service and expand publicity of their products and the range of sales through and friendly relations them. Although voluntary participation of members in on-line brand community and increased communication of the brand of their products inspired satisfaction with and devotion to on-lin brand community and further, increased royalty of each community and each brand, there have been few studies on it.
This study is to identify how on-line brand characteristics have influences on community devotion and brand royalty, focusing on whether on-line brand community characteristics have positive influence on community devotion and brand royalty.
This study examines bibliography and previous studies on brand community characteristics, devotion and brand royalty and based on the results, prepares study models and assumptions to demonstrate them. The study selects 6 subjects of on-line brand community and subdivides them into three according to the subject of management, targeting 225 of members of the six places. It uses the SPSS 12.0 to analyse characteristics of the samples, evaluate measuring tools and demonstrate significance of the assumptions.
As a result of the study, system quality, interaction and activity reward are significantly selected except information quality and business-dominated on-line brand community system quality is not significant. The effects of personally-dominated and business-dominated brand community type adjusting variables are not definitely demonstrated and the results of the study present limitations of this study and the direction of future studies.
