This empirical study try to analyze relationship between management performances and characteristics that are the number of students, asset size, university location and college which universities are operating. Results of the study are able to help universities whenever they need not to make strategies but also to select alternatives
Data used in the study are management information, includes financial information and non-financial information, that is yearly submitted to the Korea Foundation for the promotion of private school that is assigned to collect private universities' management information by the Ministry of Education & Human Resources Development
For the empirical analysis, the following hypotheses are establish and tested
[Hypothesis 1] There are significant differences in management performance among 3 groups that are grouped by the size of students, one of the private universities characteristics.
[Hypothesis 2] There are significant differences in management performance among 3 groups that are grouped by the asset size, one of the private universities characteristics.
[Hypothesis 3] There are significant differences in management performance among 3 groups that are grouped by the university location, one of the private universities characteristics.
[Hypothesis 4] There are significant differences in management performance among 3 groups that are grouped by colleges their university is operating ; both medical and engineering colleges, engineering only and without both.
Their hypothesis are tested by Kruskal Wallis test, Non-parametric Approach.
As a result, the study show that there are significant differences between characteristics of the size of tudents, asset size, location and college and management information.
