인형극활동이 유아의 언어표현력과 창의성에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Puppet Drama Activities on Young Children's Language Expression Ability and Creativity

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 인형극활동에 기초한 프로그램을 구성하여 이를 유아들에게 실험처치한 후 유아의 언어표현력과 창의성에 미치는 효과를 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 이에 따른 구체적인 연구문제는 다음과 같다.
연구문제1. 인형극활동이 유아의 언어표현력에 어떠한 효과가 있는가?
연구문제2. 인형극활동이 유아의 창의성에 어떠한 효과가 있는가?
연구의 대상은 K시의 I 유치원의 2학급 만 5세 유아 40명을 선정하였다(실험집단: 20명, 비교집단: 20명). 실험집단과 비교집단 간의 연령 및 언어표현력과 창의성에 대한 사전검사 결과 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 연구도구는 언어표현력을 측정하기 위해 선행연구의 연구자들이 수정 번안하여 사용한 바 있는 이지연(1999)의 언어표현력 검사도구를 사용하였으며, 창의성의 측정은 Torrance의 창의적 사고력 검사 중 도형검사 A,B형을 사용하였다. 실험처치는 주 3회 6주 동안 실시하였고, 인형극활동이 유아의 언어표현력과 창의성에 미치는 효과를 검증하기 위하여 집단간 사전, 사후검사의 점수를 t-검증하여 분석하였다.
본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 인형극활동에 따른 실험집단, 비교집단 간 유아의 언어표현력이 유의미하게 향상 되었으며 언어표현력의 하위영역인 단문, 복문, 수식어에서 복문을 제외한 영역은 유의미하게 향상되었다.
둘째, 인형극활동에 따른 실험집단, 비교집단 간 유아의 창의성이 유의미하게 향상되었으며 창의성의 하위영역인 유창성, 독창성, 제목의 추상성, 정교성, 종결성 등에서도 종결성을 제외한 영역은 유의미하게 향상되었다.
본 연구의 결과를 통해 인형극활동은 언어표현력과 창의성 증진에 효과가 있음을 나타내주고 있다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how puppet drama activities affect young children's language expression and creativity
The research questions in this study are as follows:
First, what is the effect of puppet drama activities on young children's language expression?
second, what is the effect of puppet drama activities on young children's creativity?
The subjects used in this study were 40 five-year-old young children (experimental group:20, comparison group : 20) in the I kindergarten located in G city
There was no significant difference between the experimental group and the comparison group through the pre-survey with regards to ability with language expression and creativity.
The test of variable factors, which affect language expression, was mainly examined. This is one of the test methods designed by Lee, Ji-Yun in 1999. However, for estimating creativity, diagram test A,B was chosen, one of the Torrence's test methods for estimating creative consideration.
Experimental treatment was carried out three times a week for 6 weeks The result of the pre-test and post-test was to examine the effects of puppet drama activities on young children's language expression ability and creativity, data was analyzed with t-test.
The results of this study were as follows:
First, puppet drama activities evaluated young children's ability of language expression and developed significantly sub-categorized items like the number of a simple sentence, number of a compound sentence, number of modifier except number of a compound sentence.
Second, puppet drama activities meaningly evaluated young children's creativity. It also made an progress in sub-categorized items such as fluency, originality, abstractness, elaborateness, closure, etc.
As a conclusion, this study shows that puppet drama activities have an effect on young children's development of language expression and creativity.
