This thesis mainly focuses on issuing and providing more efficient information and review of fine art centered integrated sessions through studying and reviewing current 2nd grade sessions in international schools in Korea. At the same time this thesis will provide references to current art teaching methods in Korean elementary schools.
Followings are the main topics that will be covered in this thesis to reach its purposes. Firstly, reviewing art education's overview, contents, structure, educational purposes and backgrounds of integrate art education sessions. Secondly, analyzing and studying designing, execution and evaluation of 2nd grade's art centered integrated sessions in international schools in Korea by reviewing operations and executions of actual education plans. Thirdly, finding more efficient method for the better implantation of art centered integrated sessions' operation and execution by studying its characteristics, meanings and problems of international schools in Korea.
Findings in 2nd grade's art centered integrated sessions in international schools in Korea by performing studies according to above mentioned are followings ;
Firstly, misunderstandings regarding integration of art education and other educational subjects. Secondly, lack of information exchange to promote exchange of integrated sessions. Thirdly, the needs of development of art centered integrated sessions.
The summery of proposed improvements based on above mentioned aspects of improvements in art centered integrated sessions in 2nd grade's art centered integrated sessions in international schools in Korea is following ;
Firstly, frequent intercourse of educational information among teachers for better understandings of in art centered integrated sessions in 2nd grade's art centered integrated sessions, and analysis and thorough review on other educational subjects' objectives to correct misunderstandings among educational sessions are important. Secondly, attempt of using ICT to design education program and exchanging diverse information among different schools that promote educational integrations is essential. Thirdly, concentration on activity focused art educations that involve diverse field trips, profound visual and sensual educational experiences that are deviated from orthodox art educational methods to attract best of student's attentions.
At this stage of study, this thesis will support improving art centered integrated sessions in 2nd grade in international schools and providing art centered integrated sessions in 2nd grade education program by analyzing characteristics and problems of art education in Korean international schools.
