The purpose of this study is to analyze the content validity of question in secondary social studies teacher certification test focus on [Economics] from 1992 to 2004. Through the analysis, it determines the degree of relative importance of Economics in secondary social studies teacher certification test, and closely examines questions in Economic area.
As for the contents of this research, question in secondary social studies teacher certification test from 1992 to 2004 were analyzed per year, per content and per question, and the detailed distribution of questions according to the structure of Economics, the structure of high school economics textbook, the taxonomy of educational objectives by B.S. Bloom and a form of question.
The result is as follows .
First, according to analysis secondary social studies teacher certification test suggests that the trend of question is not consistent each year. But the ratio of Economics in tests is relatively high.
Second, in analysis by the structure of Economics, the test is not regular each year. The greater part of tests make up the question in microeconomics and macroeconomics.
Third, in analysis by the structure of high school economics textbook, the question is unevenly distributed n two units.
Fourth, in the taxonomy of educational objectives by B.S. Bloom, most test is distributed to the area of understand fundamental notion and principle. It is short of the question about high order thinking level.
Fifth, the form of the question is not various. Most test is a form of correct answer in objective test, a form of short answer in subjective test. These question is the only valuation of simple concept.
As remarked above analysis showed that the content validity is low in secondary social studies teacher certification test [Economics]
