    The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Korean traditional game on elementary school students' school satisfaction and self-esteem.
    The question for this study were as follow :
    First, the posttest score will be higher than the pretest score with school satisfaction in the experimental group.
    Second, the experimental group will improve school satisfaction more than the controlled group.
    Third, the posttest score will be higher than the pretest score with self-esteem in the experimental group.
    Fourth, the experimental group will improve self-esteem more than the controlled group.
    The subject of this study were 58 in total, one experimental group(30 students) and one controlled group(28 students) from elementary school in Gwangyang, Jeonnam province. They were 6 graders. Before and after experiment, school satisfaction and self-esteem were measured on both group.
    The test score of the two groups were not significantly different, which indicated that the two groups were statistically similar in school satisfaction and self-esteem before the experiment.
    Their responses to "The Questionnaire of school satisfaction Inventory and self-esteem Inventory" were analysed with SPSSWIN(version 12.0)
    The result of this research are as follows:
    First, only three sub-constructs of school satisfaction which composed with lecture, teacher and human relations with other students were significantly difference with school satisfaction between the pretest and the posttest in experimental group(P<.05).
    Second, there was not significantly difference of school satisfaction between one experimental group and one controlled group. However, the mean scores of experimental group were higher than those of the controlled group.
    Third, there was significantly difference of self-esteem between pretest and post test in experimental group(P<.05). Especially two sub-constructs of self-esteem which composed with individal and studying showed significantly difference(P<.05).
    Fourth, there was not significantly difference of self-esteem between one experimental group and one controlled group. However, the mean scores of experimental group were higher than those of the controlled group.
    In conclusion, we could know the fact that Korean traditional games partially have effected school satisfaction and self-esteem.
