This study aims to present implications to the basic directions according to organization's own objectives, roles, physiology and changes, etc for private security being activated. The change in organization can lead to foster the foundation for coping with sharp social environmental changes. The fundamental factors leading organizational changes should include intentional, planned and future-oriented activities.
This is because organizational changes can be achieved by organizational learning. Besides, organizational learning is indeed important in terms of improvement in business methods and security services, but it should be also much more examined than in any other organization, since business particularity lies in getting in most sensitive contact with customers on the spot.
Therefore, this study aims to propose the developmental directions of organizational learning by positively exploring the basic learning directions according to the influences of organizational learning, focusing the organizational efficientization strategies coping with environmental changes on the organizational learning.
At the same time, it aims to propose the developmental directions of organizational learning by positively exploring which significance organizational performances show according to the influences of organizational learning and empowerment, focusing organizational efficientization strategies coping with environmental changes on the organizational learning.
Especially, it aims to propose the implications for exploring the foundation for constructing the generalized cause-effect models and the strategies for organizational management by classifying and establishing, with exploratory study through hypotheses, the factors of influence the organizational learning of security organizations has on empowerment and organizational performances, to cope with environmental changes, meet customers' needs and establish organizational efficientization maximization strategies.
Accordingly, a systemization of theories is first attempted by recomposing, according to the characteristics of this study, the relationships between organizational learning, empowerment and performances of security practitioners through the theories on the organizational learning, empowerment and performances of security companies.
Second, analysis is made of the relationships between organizational learning, empowerment and performances of security practitioners by establishing the study models and hypotheses based on theoretical backgrounds and performing a positive analysis targeting on security practitioners.
Third, contributions are attempted to make toward the improvement in management performances of security companies by presenting the basic directions of right organizational learning of security companies based on the findings of both theoretical and positive studies and by presenting the implications on empowerment.
Various methods are used to attain the purposes of this study for analyzing the factors of influence on organizational performances of security practitioners.
First, both documentary survey and positive study are performed to grasp the influence factors of organizational performances.
In the documentary survey, study models and questionnaire items are developed to seek the theoretical considerations on organizational learning, empowerment, organizational performance and business performance and organizational devotion.
In the positive study, the questionnaire by random sampling is conducted for a total of 20 days from May 1 through May 20, 2005, targeting on security practitioners in the Seoul area, to verify the established study models and hypotheses.
A total of 380 sheets of questionnaire are distributed. Analyses of gathered sheets are made using the SPSSWIN 12.0 program and the techniques such as the reliability analysis between independent variable, parameter and dependent variable, the factor analysis, the T verification and F verification for hypothesis verification, the correlation analysis, the regression analysis and the path analysis.
Consequently, the composition of this study is as follows.
Chapter 1 describes in the general the objectives and methods of study on organizational learning, empowerment and performances.
Chapter 2 grasps the concepts, significances and relevant theories on organizational learning, empowerment and performances.
Chapter 3 presents the operational definitions and measuring methods on variables in study models based on theoretical backgrounds.
Chapter 4 presents the interpretation of findings through the positive study of analytic models.
Chapter 5 summarizes findings, extracts their implications and describes the proposals for following studies.
