The purpose of this study is to prevent stress and exercise fatigue of the judo players in high schools by checking the degree of burn-out and stress causes according to their grades and sex. Objects of the study are 231 high school judo players in the KOREA Judo Association in every city and province. To measure the degree of the stress of the high school judo players, Kim Byungjun Sports Stress Test Paper recomposed by Ahn Jeongduk(2003) has been used, to measure the exhaustion, the Test Paper developed by Maslach and Jackson(1982) and adapted by Song Wooyeop(1999) has been used. After figuring out the average and standard declination of the degree of stress and exhaustion of the high school judo players by grade and sex, and proceeding the unifying variation analysis, the researcher got the meaningful consequences as followings.
1) There were not any meaningful differences on the fear of failure, the burden of the contest, the troublesome schoolwork, the worry about the entrance to the higher schools, and the economic burden facts etc among high school judo players according to the grade.
2) Female judo players in high schools showed higher points on the fear of failure and the worry about the entrance to the higher schools than the male players. But there were no meaningful differences on the burden of the contest, the troublesome schoolwork, and the economic burden factors.
3) There were no meaningful differences on emotional drain, dehumanizing, and personal achievement according to the grade.
4) On the degree of exhaustion, male judo players in high schools showed the meaningful higher points on the dehumanizing, and personal achievement according to the sex, there were no meaningful differences on personal achievement factors.
In order to prevent the stress and induced burn-out that high school judo players experience, I have a few suggestions on the basis of the consequences.
First, the long-term exposure to the stress and exhaustion experience of the juvenile players act as the causes of excellent players' discontinuance of sports. So, in order to prevent this and let the students enjoy the sports experience, scientific training programs and new training methods should be developed.
Second, to clearly check out the stress factors and the degree of burn-out of juvenile players, the understanding of the factors such as the reality of school sport institution and cultural background should be proceeded earlier, so that right dealing method of stress causes and exhaustion should be proposed.
Third, after this study, an integral study should be processed on the objects of not only the players in high schools, but also the players in middle school, college and the adult players, so that the study may analyze the process that the stress causes and burn-out degree vary according to the age increase.
