다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The Juk-Bang-Ryeum which is made of bamboo or other materials from several kinds of wood is one of the oldest and the primitive fishery tools in Korea. It is a kind of simple catching method of fisheries. It is located in the Jijok Straits, Namhaegun, Gyeongnam and there are few research materials about it. So, I have been interested in the origin, distribution and production of the fisheries tool that play an important role as basic materials for the Juk-Bang-Ryeum in our country.
'Bangjeon' seems to be the nearest meaning of the Juk-Bang-Ryeum through checking the historic background from the old materials. It was mentioned in the Gyeongsangdo-sokchan geography of King Yejong era of the Chosun dynasty for the first time. So, the Juk-Bang-Ryeum was constructed at that time with the name of Bangjeon. It means the Juk-Bang-Ryeum has a history of more than 500 years.
The Jijok Straits has a wide range of the ebb and flow of the tide and a fast current speed due to its narrow width and its suitable depth. It has good conditions for building the Juk-Bang-Ryeum and it is very popular for catching fisheries with the Juk-Bang-Ryeum.
Now, we can notice how important the role of the Juk-Bang-Ryeum is in the field of fisheries with its 23 locations. This study deals with the processing and materials for the construction of the Juk-Bang-Ryeum and the origin of the Juk-Bang-Ryeum. Those fish tools are good sources for making profits in the rural community.
They said the haul of fish is less than before, but by catching high quality of fish such as Juk-Bang-Ryeum anchovy, they make enough profit to live without any complaint in local life.
The Juk-Bang-Ryeum is a good and important tool for the first industry. In conclusion, we should try to preserve and understand the raison d'etre and the cultural value of the traditional method of catching fisheries.
