현재 많은 영역에서 리더십에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있으나 보육시설장의 리더십에 대해서는 아직 관리의 영역과 구분이 모호하게 사용되어지고 있다. 리더십은 관리의 의미와는 다른것이며 시설장의 올바른 리더십 정립이 교사의 직무만족도를 높여 보육시설의 질을 높이고 성과를 극대화 할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to offer suggestions that can be utilized for the efficiency in the organization of the child care facilities and for the enhancement in teacher's job satisfaction, by examining a leadership style in a chief for the in child care facilities; Job satisfaction by teacher's variabls depending on that, and by empirically analyzing the effect in each of them on the job satisfaction in the teacher group.
In 215 sodiects answesea guestionnaires designed for teachers who are in public municipal child-care in centers Seoul. The questionnaire was aLikert scale with leadership style compring 4 spheres with 16 items, and job satisfaction compring 7 spheres with 28 items. Aiming to examine the relationship between the leadership style in a chief for the child care center and the job satisfaction based on the collected materials, the response results in the collected questionnaire were verified at p<.05, p<.01, p<.001 of the statistically significant level, by using SPSS 12.0 for Windows program.
The results art as follows ;
In terms of the conclusions that were obtained through this study, given seeing the leadership style in a chief for the child care center, the Leadership style associated with low job satisfaction was found to be the leadership style with an instruction style and a persuasion style, and the leadership style with the relatively high job satisfaction is classified into the leadership style with a participation style and a delegate style. Among them, the leadership style, which indicates the biggest correlation with teachers' job satisfaction, was found to be the leadership style with a participation style.
In conclusion, the head of the child care center needs to explicitly recognize own role that must be performed, as a leader for the institution, to establish righsbased leadership, to accept a teacher as a colleague, to form the mutually smooth human relations to encourage Furthermore, it is impoctant for the head to feel worthwhile and satisfied with the life in the child-care center, and to have democratic and open attitude so that the rational decision-making can be followed through.
