그림책을 활용한 창의성 활동이 유아의 창의성과 언어능력에 미치는 효과 = (The) Effects of creativity improving activities using picture-books on creativity and language abilities of young children

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 그림책을 활용한 창의성 활동이 유아의 창의성 및 언어능력에 미치는 효과를 검증하고, 소그룹 활동으로 실시하여 유아교육현장에서의 활용가능성을 제공하고자 한다.
이에 따른 구체적인 연구문제는 다음과 같다.
1. 그림책을 활용한 창의성 활동이 유아의 창의성에 어떤 영향을 미칠 것인가?
2. 그림책을 활용한 창의성 활동이 유아의 언어능력에 어떤 영향을 미칠 것인가?
본 연구의 대상은 구미시에 위치한 H유치원에 재원 중인 만 5세 유아 21명으로 하여 실험집단, 비교집단, 통제집단 각 7명씩 구성하였다. 실험처치는 주 2회 7주간 총14회에 걸쳐 실시하였다.
유아의 창의성 검사도구는 Torrance의 창의성 검사도구인 TTCT-A, B 형을 사용하고, 언어검사도구는 장영애(1981)가 선행 검사 및 연구한 것을 기초로 하여 4~6세아의 수준에 맞게 제작한 것을 사용하였다. 측정자료 처리는 ANCOVA 분석 및 Bonferroni 검정을 하였다.
본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 그림책을 활용한 창의성 활동은 유아의 창의성 증진에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이것을 창의성의 하위요소별로 보면, 유창성, 독창성, 정교성에서는 긍정적인 효과가 나타났지만, 제목의 추상성과 성급한 종결에 대한 저항에서는 의미 있는 효과가 나타나지 않았다.
둘째, 그림책을 활용한 창의성 활동은 유아의 언어능력 증진에도 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이것을 언어능력 하위요소별로 보면, 어휘력과 언어표현력은 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났고, 언어이해력은 통계적으로 의미 있는 효과가 나타나지 않았다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of creativity improving activities using picture-books on creativity and language abilities of young children and to provide a possibility of practical use on the young children education site by small group practicing.
The specific aims of the study were to find out the following questions:
1. Does the creativity improving activities using picture-books influence creativity of young children?
2. Does the creativity improving activities using picture-books influence language abilities of young children?
The subjects in this study were 21, 5-year old children from 'H' kindergarten in Gumi city. The children were divided into 3 groups, an experimental group, a comparative group, a controlled group. 14 experimental activities were presented twice a week for 7 weeks.
Torrance Test of Creative Thinking : TTCT-Form A and B were used to examine the creativity and Jang young-ae's(1981) Language ability Test was used to examine the language ability of the young children. Statistical methods adapted for data analysis were ANCOVA and Bonferroni test.
The results of this study were as follows.
First, the creativity improving activities using picture-books can improve the creativity of young children also improve secondary factors such as fluency, originality and elaborateness. But there were not any significant effects in abstractness of titles and resistance to premature closure.
Second, the creativity improving activities using picture-books can improve the language abilities. Taking secondary factors into consideration, vocabulary and linguistic expression were improved but linguistic comprehension was not improved significantly.
