부모-자녀의 의사소통유형에 따른 대학생 자녀의 성태도 및 성행동 분석 = The Analysis of sexual attitude and behavior of the University students by Communication Style

국문 초록 (Abstract)

오늘날 성과 관련된 문제는 개인 뿐 만이 아니라 사회 전체의 문제로 대두되고 있다. 증가되고 있는 성문제의 원인은 갑작스러운 성의 개방화 추세와 그로 인한 가치관의 혼돈, 대학 입시만을 위한 공교육, 올바르지 않은 경로를 통한 무분별한 성지식의 습득 등으로 파악할 수 있다. 이러한 현실적인 문제에 무방비하게 노출되어 있던 청소년은 대학 진학 후 갑작스러운 자유를 경험하게 될 것이고, 이러한 자유는 올바른 가치관과 방향 설정이 없다면 개인 뿐만 아니라 사회적 차원의 문제로 대두될 수 있다. 그러므로 자신의 의지로 성태도 및 성행동을 결정할 수 있는 대학생들에게 올바른 성적 가치관과 성태도를 정립하는 것이 무엇보다 중요한 문제이다. 또한 이러한 가치관 정립을 개인의 가치관 형성과 가장 밀접한 관계를 맺고 있는 가정, 특히 부모와의 상호 작용을 통하여 규명해보고자 한다.
이에 본 연구는 대학교에 재학중인 대학생 자녀를 대상으로 그들의 배경변인 및 부모-자녀간의 의사소통 유형이 자녀의 성태도 및 성행동에 미치는 영향을 살펴봄으로써 자녀들의 성태도 및 성행동에 대한 이해를 도모하고자 한다.
이에 본 연구의 구체적인 연구문제는 다음과 같다.
<연구문제 1> 대학생 자녀의 주요변인의 일반적 경향은 어떠한가?
<연구문제 2> 대학생 자녀의 사회인구학적 변인 및 성 관련 배경변인에 따른 성태도 및 성행동에는 차이가 있는가?
<연구문제 3> 부모-자녀의 의사소통유형에 따른 대학생 자녀의 성행동에는 차이가 있는가?
<연구문제 4> 대학생 자녀의 성태도에 따른 대학생 자녀의 성행동은 차이가 있는가?
이를 위해 서울 및 수도권 지역에 거주하며, 4년제 대학교에 재학하고 있는 대학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 2005년 2월 10일부터 2월 20일까지 예비조사를 한 후, 2005년 2월 30일부터 3월 20일에 걸쳐 본조사를 실시하였으며, 총 500부의 설문지를 배부하여 이 중 총 378부를 최종 분석 자료로 사용하였다.
자료처리는 SPSS 12.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, 신뢰계수(Cronbach's α), Pearson의 적률 상관계수, 요인분석(Factor Analysis), t-test, one-way ANOVA 등을 실시하였다.
부모-자녀간의 관계는 오랜 기간 동안 축적된 소통 방식으로 서로의 가치관에 영향을 미쳤으며, 이러한 영향은 자녀가 독립을 하게 되더라도 쉽게 변하지 않을 것으로 예상된다. 그러므로 가정 내에서 부모-자녀간의 의사소통은 자녀의 가치관에 영향을 미칠 것이라고 파악되며, 본 연구의 결과, 가장 기본적인 욕구로 파악되는 성에 관한 태도와 행동에도 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 부모-자녀의 의사소통유형을 파악하고, 이를 통하여 대학생 자녀의 건전한 성태도 및 성행동을 유도할 수 있는 방안을 모색해야 할 것이다. 이를 바탕으로 사회적으로는 성에 관련된 문제를 감소시키는 데에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Today, problems involving sexual attitude has become not only a problem of individuals, but the problem for the whole society. The reasons for increasing numbers of sexual attitude problems could be found in sudden opening of sexual culture, which resulted disorder in one's values. Education only aimed for the University entrance and learning about sex wrongly from places that don't specialize in sex education must have been factors as well. Once they enter the university, teenagers who were exposed to these problems experience sudden freedom. This freedom could become critical social problem if they don't have righteous values and directions to go. Therefore it is very important for us to help these university students to have positive sexual attitude and behavior. Also this analysis would like to take a deep look into building of these values by looking into their relationship with the family, especially their parents. Because it's the parents who effect them the most when it comes to building their values.
Therefor this analysis is going to exam university students and their communication style with the parents. It will see how their communication impact the children's sexual behavior, and understands their sexual attitude and behavior by doing so.
We researched university students who lives in Seoul or near the city area, and attend to a 4 year university. Pre-research was down during the time of 10th of February to 20th, 2005. Research itself was then taken from February 30th to march 20th, 2005. Total number of 500 surveys were given, and 378 copies among them were used for the final analysis.
Data analyses were carried out using SPSS 12.0, which included Frequencies, Cronbach's α, Pearson's Correlation, Factor Analysis, t-test, and one-way ANOVA.
The results of this study were as follows:
1) Sexual attitude of the University students averaged in 2.56 points(5 points maximum) which was about normal. Their sexual behavior however, averaged in 4.39 points(8 points maximum) which was well above normal. Men averaged in 5.57 points, showing much higher numbers than the women who averaged in 3.13 points.
2) Sexual attitude and behavior of university students differed by the time they first learned about sex, and whether they watch the sexual media contents. Earlier they learned about sex, more open minded their sexual attitude(2.99 points) and sexual behavior(5.31 points) became. Also students who encountered more sexual contents than others proved to have more open minded sexual attitude(3.75 points) and sexual behavior(7.66 points).
3) How the students and parents communicate with each other mattered. From many types of communication style, those parents and students who had open communication about sexual issues showed to have positive effect to sexual attitude and behavior of the student.
4) Sexual attitude of university students was shown to have important effect to their sexual behavior. Groups that have opened sexual attitude had more opened sexual behavior than the groups that doesn't have opened sexual attitude.
Relationship between the parents and students has effected each others' values by communication styles that has been continued for years. Therefore it can be assumed that the parents-student communication effects values of the students, the values that include sexual attitude and behavior as well. It is suggested that we research the types of communication styles between them and find ways to encourage positive sexual attitude and behavior by helping them to have suitable communication with each other.
