It is natural that the interpersonal relationship make influence
on juvenile,s growth and development. The good interpersonal
relationship is essential for normal development. Because,
through interpersonal relationship they can understand the
relationship between themselves and others and those
understandings give the background of intellectual and social
development. The purpose of this study is to understand how
interspritual differentiation and normal differentiation from family
fusion have influence on interpersonal relationship.
The subjects of this study are follow:
1. What is the general tendency of juvenile' self-differentiation
level and interpersonal relationship?

2. How self-differentiation level influence on interpersonal
relationship?
2.1 How male student's self-differentiation level influence on
interpersonal relationship?

on interpersonal relationship?
For this study 437 middle and high school students who live
in Seoul and Kyongki province are selected. The
"Self-differentiation scale" which is developed by Je, Seok
Bong(1989) is used to measure the student's self-differentiation,
and "Test of interpersonal relationship tendency" which is
developed by Ahn, Beom Hoe(1985) is used to measure the
interpersonal relationship. To analyse the general tendency, we
investigate the average, standard deviation and t-test results.
and to investigate how the self-differentiation affect interpersonal
relationship we did the multi-regression analysis.
The research results are follow:
First, for the juvenile's self-differentiation, the family regression
factor show highest level at the cultural level, and for the
interpersonal relationship tendency, the social-friendly and the
sympathetic-receptive social relationship factor was the strongest
factor. For the self-differentiation level, male students are more
influencive from family than female students and for the
interpersonal relationship, male students show more
control-superiority tendency than female student, and female
students show more display and fascinative tendency than male
students.
Second, the self-differentiation level is closely related with the
interpersonal relationship. The results show that cognitive and
emotional differentiation affect control-superiority,
competitive-offensive and resistant-distrust tendency in both
male and female students. The Self-integration affect the
control-superiority, independent, responsible role and the
competitive-offensive tendency. And it shows that among the
family active tendency the family regressive is the most
reflective factor to interpersonal relationship tendency.
